I have different 1 1/2 inch belts that have been used shooting IDPA, but they sag under the weight of my pistol and aim the muzzle at my leg when holstered. I'm considering the Comtac Nexbelt Titan Tactical Ratchet belt. Has anyone had an personal experience with this belt and is it stiff enough to hold a 40 plus ounce weapon without sagging?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

DAA. And consider a kydex holster for CCW that can't sag, because it's flat against your body.

You can also add a pad under the holster that contacts your hip to keep the holster vertical. DAA offers these on their race holsters. We try not to use those. But you can use it for an idea. Basically the holster can't swing out, of it's nose is in contact with your body. Unless you're shaped like a beach ball. Then, like me, loosing weight is the solution

Bigfoot belts for an actual CCW belt. Love the steel insert

Wilderness Tactical Original Instructors belt 5 stitch. Been running that since the early 90's for both USPSA/IDPA/Steel Challenge (SCSA) and 3 gun. And EDC, tried other belts along the way, just didn't work as well for me.

I have a Wilderness Tactical, and a DA, and a SC, and a DSG, and... I use them for different things. I have at least 6 belts I wear for the various shooting sports and EDC. These are the main three I use.

For USPSA and 3Gun Competitions, I use the CARBS: Yes, I designed it, prototyped it and I make it. Copied by others, but still the best if you are going to swap gear around on ELS brackets. Carbon Arms Ratchet Belt System

I use the DSG Competition Belt for Sniper/Precision Matches: DSG 1.75" Competition Belt Two Piece Kit

For EDC, and what I would use for IDPA, the NexBelt: Titan BD Black PreciseFit™ EDC Belt.

They all have the enviable feature of no traditional buckle with holes at fixed locations. So they work with a variety of gear sets, clothes, etc. I can cinch them up real tight for a stage and then loosen them a touch to get in the car if needed.

The Blade Tech Ultimate Carry nylon belt carries my Glocks in Kydex holsters (Blade Tech with Tek-Lok atrachments) plus mag pouches quite nicely. The ratcheting adjustment is handy too. I don't notice any of the muzzle-inward cant that is described in the OP.

Only demerit is where made.

Not sure what kind of belts you have used but any decent heavy leather or double nylon belt works with the heaviest pistols. I use a cheap wilderness belt from Cabela's, going on 10y, every weekend, still works fine. Might be a holster issue if the muzzle is pointing inward? All my stuff is kydex.

All the cool USPSA kids are using this.

Yep. I’m using one. It virtually has zero flex. I immediately felt a draw improvement with how stiff it is. It only flexes in one direction. Think of a bicycle chain, it can easily flex to conform around a sprocket, but it’s basically rigid on every other axis.

Try holding a loaded conventional belt straight out like this.
