I know it's been discussed thousands of times, but can't hurt to see the most recent thoughts on a good IWB holster for a Glock 23/19/32?
Thanks and probably something with loops and not clip-ons.
I was thinking maybe an Alessi PCH?
Much appreciated.

Such a personal choice. Most of us go thru 5-6 Holsters before finding what we like for our individual build. I like the comptac Mtac or Spartan, very comfortable a stable. There are probably 2 dozen sim designed holsters. I prefer leather & kydex; more comfortable than kydex & more durable than just leather.

Alien gear. Done searching.

HH Holsters Ranger Rig; Hes' a small shop out of Florida, and he's using the best materials -English bridle leather, a nice thick Kydex, etc; the shells are full coverage, no cut off at the bottom, so the muzzle of the weapon is never in contact with your clothes; his "combat cut" is a standard feature, and rather than simply a vague cutout on the backer, it follows the contour of that specific pistol; the mold for the kydex is highly detailed, and he will do special requests with no extra charge a lot of the time;

There is something to be said for a handmade holster that has been done by someone who truly knows their craft..

The "best" holster? Holster selection is much more a personalized thing the a handgun choice. Heck, what used to be a perfect holster for me changed after losing a good amount of weight.

Best you need to determine the following, location on the body that works best, ride height, and cant. Then determine footprint (from a narrow single loop all the way to wide, dual offset loops). Next, how important is reholstering, what type of mouth support do you need. Then there is material, cow vs. horse vs. exotic. That not only plays to the look, but flexibility and moisture resistance. Finally, appearance, if that matters to you.

I've spent a bit of time and money trying to find the perfect holster. I've written about most of them in THIS thread.

Thanks. I think I'm honing in.

The Criterion looks good, hadn't seen that before. My concern with this would be comfort, usually a lot of edges and molding on the inside pressing against your body is not a good thing. This is why I like Crossbreed and Comp-tac type holsters.

Let us know how you like it.

Will do. They all (of this type) seem so similar. I just went with the traditional leather from a known entity. The belt loops close with a magnet which is sort of different and they say it sits a bit lower than the VMII.
Should be here in a few months and I'll report back.
Thanks again.

BEST IWB Holster for G23...

Ask 10 people and get 20 answers. I like Foxx holsters; their hybrid for strong-side carry (Spring/Summer) and the Little Foxx holster for Appendix carry (Fall/Winter). Bunch of other holsters in the holster drawer, these are my two favorites.

For best distribution of weight and flexibility in positions, the bellyband type options.
For ease of use, Remora or Sticky.

My dilemma was to find the best position for carry. For most options the G23 grip literally sticks out like a sore thumb with obvious printing that says there is something I am trying to hide under that shirt. I am six foot, 185 pounds, with love handles and a small to moderate pot belly.

To not print with the G23 you have to have the grip remain flush against your body during the range of normal movements. For my body type the best place seems to be weak side 10:00 o'clock with a cant towards my bellybutton. This lays the handle against my gut with the added advantage of pointing the muzzle away from the family jewels and femoral artery. Height above the belt line in my case is where my potbelly best blends with and hides the grip.

In summary find your sweet spot carry position then find yourself a comfortable holster that puts your G23 there. Everyone's sweet spot is different and therefore you will always see a wide range of recommendations and opinions.
