I'm looking for a plus 1 or 2, but I've been an 870 guy my whole life and don't have any Mossy 590's. I'm a little unfamiliar with them. Anyone recommend any good mag extensions?

I don't mind it sticking out an inch or three. It doesn't affect the shot column leaving the barrel, so i don't care about that. But it sounds like that's not really an option of Mossbergs?Unless you want the magazine to stick out a couple inches past the end of the barrel, the magazine is as long as it can be.

This is why I bought the Mossberg. Also, I prefer the corn cob forend to the Magpul. I've been an 870 guy for 40 years and never owned a Mossberg until now. Maybe it's about time.BTW, the Shockwave holds 5 shells in the mag, but the Remington TAC-14 only holds 4.
I don't understand why Remington didn't extend the magazine out to the end of the barrel to allow for a 5th shell.
My first modification to my Tac 14. It feels like it will outlast every other piece of it.BTW, the Shockwave holds 5 shells in the mag, but the Remington TAC-14 only holds 4.

What is the wrap you are using on the lower one?Unless you want the magazine to stick out a couple inches past the end of the barrel, the magazine is as long as it can be.

That might be true with the 500, but not the 590.Mossbergs usually are a little different. With their full size guns you have to change out the entire tube and barrel because of how they attached to each other
