Is Their A Better EDC Gun Than The 43?

I will have to say I love my 43. I forget I am carrying a lot of the time. Mine is the most accurate gun I own, I own two H&K's and really like these guns, but it is funny that I can shoot the 43 better than any black guns I own. I am almost decided to buy another one for a spare. Lol For me, I don't see how a EDC could get much better. Does anyone else like them? I have had 19's and really liked them, but I could not shoot them as accurate as the 43.

I'm looking at purchasing a G43. Just because I want one more Glock. And it would fit a size between my G27 and Ruger LCP. But that's just an excuse. Because I want another Glock. I really have all CCW sizes covered.

I think you are operating under the misconception that there is a best gun for EDC.

Everyone has their own preferences for what is best for them.
If yours are all met by the 43, then thats great!

Better is very subjective as there really is no better anything at least in theory. In application there are always alternatives. I personally don’t have a need for a G43 but I think it’s a fantastic gun and I’ll probably have one eventually. But when I can’t carry a 19/23, or 27/26 I have a j frame in pocket(5% of the time usually as a BUG). If 6 rounds as a primary carry gun floats your boat then I would say a G43 is a very hard to beat CC gun.

No there isn't, but there could be. A 43X with a short grip the size of the 43. Depending on the magazine, that theoretical gun could go from a pocket pistol to a compact duty gun with just the change of a magazine. We can dream, can't we?

No gun frustrated me more than my 43. Took lots of concentration to shoot with decent accuracy.

I could have done your post but changed the title to the Shield. I just handle and shoot that one effectively, without any extra effort.

It's great you're pumped about your 43, and that it works for you. Some people never find something they like 100%

Just saying everyone has their own favorite ice cream

I own the G43 & the G43X. I prefer the G43, it conceals better than the G43X does, for me. I also have a P365... yep, nice little shooter, but it sits in my gunsafe. The P365 grip is so tiny that i can`t seem to get a real good purchase on the grip during draws. I found i was always having to do re-grips after drawing the P365 out of my holsters. But, my main EDC carry is the Shield45. Thats 8 rounds of 230gr Federal HST HP whoop-az! The Shield`s shoot softer than the 43`s too.

Had a 43 but sold it. It was a nice carry piece - concealed well. I just never warmed up to it even though I’ve been a Glock guy for a long time. It got replaced with a 365. Now I go back and forth between a 26-5 (my favorite) and the 365 depending on what I happen to be wearing. If you have a sweet spot for that gun, by all means carry it.
