I wish they would take the G30S, upgrade it to Gen 5, and make the grip flush for the 10 round mags. I hate using mags with grip extensions or grip sleeves. Remove those finger grips and extend the grip!

45 ACP is like the slowest, bumbest fat kid in class trying to hit his target !! You might as well throw bowling balls. The worst round still in production. At least 9 mm has velocity, but is a very weak round, and 10 mm can actually stop a threat, velocity and size = high energy, therefore a real man stopper. You could carry a 9 mm or a 22 lr, same really.

I’d be curious what the sales were like for the G30 vs G30S. I really enjoy shooting the GLOCKs chambered in 45ACP, so the G21 and G30 are amongst my favorite GLOCKs. The G30S seemed like it was well-received by GLOCK enthusiasts, so I wonder why it didn’t make the Gen 4 cut. Perhaps so many people were moving to small 9mm for carry, GLOCK wasn’t compelled to have two similar offerings in 45ACP.

I was going to buy a 30S, but I enjoyed shooting the G30 so much that I never got around to doing it. I figured I’d just deal with the thicker slide for carry. If the 30S is released in Gen 5, I’d probably pick one up.

I’m a dinosaur and still use iron sights. It won’t be long before I’m regaling people with stories of walking to school in the snow, up hill, both ways. 🤣 I built a gun with an optic directly mounted on the slide. I prefer that to using a mounting plate, but I have astigmatism and I tend to find most red dots distracting. I’m just getting back to shooting after a long hiatus and I’m going to dedicate a lot my training to using an optic to see if my feelings on them change.

But on the larger chart on page 19, they list the .45 subcompact option as the G30, not the G30S.

Didn't this happen last year with one of the 9mm models where they showed it on one page but not the other?

I don't think the catalog is comprehensive. I think it's representative.

I didn't know the 36 was made any more.

Been shooting Glocks a long time and picked up a 30SF a few weeks ago. Have about 100 rounds through it and it might be the most accurate Glock I have ever fired and that includes about every 9mm and 40 SW model.
