How many jobs that Americans have which require them to own AKs?

Most everybody on this board are not active duty. They don't wear body armor with hard plates.
I do not disagree with you. I was simply making a point that some are trained to do things contrary to the way you feel you should do them.

And I question their trainings. I see these "tactical" schools teaching civilians military tactics. That's just asinine. As a civilian, you don't need to make movement to contacts, you don't need to make choregraphed disengagement, you don't need to do a lot of things that GIs or SWATs do.

They get trained by these so called experts, and these so called experts probably ARE experts. But they get trained to fight and operate like military people. That's great when you're in the infantry and assaulting the enemies with all your buddies around, to close with and destroy the enemy with shock and violence. You have on helmet, hard plate reinforced body armor, yada, yada, yada, yada. You can afford to stand still and probably take a round to the chest. Civilians don't.

Why oh why would a civilian want to close with a thug or a homicidal maniac? Use your distance and put your marksmanship training to good use. Why is a civilian crabwalking towards a target and start shooting instead of finding cover?

From what I've seen, Gunsite is about the only joint that actually tailors combat tactics to civilians. Everybody else hires SEAL this and Delta that to be instructors and model the classes after military combat tactics.

You can use your methods and I will use mine.

I value a speedy reload and I will do that standing unless I have obvious cover right next to me. I will even move left/right/front/back on my feet to cover while reloading rather than going to ground. Not sure who brought up crab walking but I do not think that would be a good idea in any circumstances.

propping a rifle against your shoulder with the charging handle as you only point of retention?

Clearly Philbert is better at the Iraqi Reload, because he has a beard, sunglasses, and vest like an operator. He should be wearing Mechanix gloves though.

Please, Please Please teach more haji this reload. When they get rattled and drop their rifle, it will be even easier for our guys to shoot them.
