I think the APX is amazing. I've put a few more rounds through it, and I think the trigger pull is just so good that it's surprising.

I think I'm going to put my G19 into the pot on a multi-gun trade for a Colt Competition 1911.

Does the trigger safety blade come flush with the face of the trigger when pressed on the APX or does it protrude like the glocks?
When pressed is flush. Trigger is growing on me, well executed for what it is.
Mine actually protrudes a bit, but it's nicely rounded, so it's not uncomfortable like some of the Glocks I've had.

Also the PPQ trigger has a lot more take up, a nice break and quick reset. Owning both, I prefer the APX over all.
I am planning a APX vs PPQ vs VP9 vs CZP10c shoot soon. Maybe I will throw in a G19 as a base line.
May as well toss in a SIG 320. It will add to the suspense and drama (and polarization!).

In all seriousness, I would like to see a nice comparison of this new (mmmm... "newish") crop of guns. I really like my VP9, and have considered a PPQ. The CZ and APX buzz is now getting me interested in those. Which way to go? Inquiring minds want to know!

OP, trade you my NIB SW40V. I'm sure the trigger is heavier on mine. Come on over, I have a gauge.

I do think having the other big-name serialized chassis in the P320 as a comparison is fair, as they are the big modular players. The idea of a $50 frame swap has some appeal. If a frame gets scuffed, one wants a color change, etc., $50 is cheap.

I am curious what thoughts are regarding the striker de-activater button. While it does seem to be a safety feature often wanted/requested (no trigger pull to disassemble), it does add a feature that could make some nervous (safety is between ears, etc.).

For those who have it, what are your impressions? Love? Hate? Neutral? I am guessing it is a fairly neutral and benign button, but haven't heard much about it yet, and suspect it will generate polarized opinions.

I had a p320 carry and sold it. I personally did not like the OEM trigger, although the APEX drop in, does improve it.

Though I didn't get to shoot either, I got to handle a APX and FN509 side-by-side. They both seemed really nice to me, and something about the 509 tickled my fancy. I love guns whose triggers don't travel all the way to the rear of the trigger guard, such as the 509 and VP9. Makes it easier for me, with long fingers, to break the trigger without wobbling the front sight.

If FN, Beretta, CZ, HK, etc were smart, they'd release their new strikers as a family of firearms (full size, compact, subcompact).
