Mine lasted about 2-300 rounds before the glass lens started to fall out.

I have read of a few other incidents detailing similar failures.

Any others?

Sorry, didn’t take pics of the lens.

The bottom of the lens became loose and it could be pivoted about 1/8” out of the frame.

I have 250 rounds through it’s replacement. This time it’s mounted on a G48 - everything excellent, so far.

I have another 507K being delivered tomorrow for the 365. Hoping it stays together this time.

How did you get a warranty replacement? Holosun takes care of that no matter what third party place you bought your new sight from? Mine just stopped showing the dot on the lens after about 150 rounds. You have to hold it at the right angle just so see a bunch of fuzzy dots. I went though so much to get the thing, and first hour with it Im screwed.

Thanks in advance!

I purchased the 507K-GR-X2 a few months ago. I mounted it on a 9mm. I have not had a chance to shoot my pistol at the range yet. I do use the Reflex Sight for dry fire practice. I was cleaning my gun and noticed some dust on the Reflex Sight Lens. I used a Micro Cloth to remove the dust. I noticed some distortion on the right side of the lens. It looks like the adhesive used for the lens installation process ran onto the surface of the lens around most of the perimeter. it looks like it is etched on the lens. I plan on contacting Holosun to discuss return/replacement/ warranty

HERE IS MY POST IN DETAIL FROM REDDIT...

After a long road of waiting months for my red dot to come in, only to have my p365 xl optics plate screws to strip, then to have to send my slide in to sig for weeks to have it fixed, I finally got the optic on and went to zero it in. Spent about 50 rounds getting it right, I continued to shoot about 250 total. All of the sudden I couldn't see the dot in the screen, yet I could see the optic was on. It was starting to drizzle so I thought maybe water got on the lens or projector, wiped it and nothing. Got it home and let it sit out to dryover night. This morning if I mess with it at the perfect angle I can see a distorted dot, sometimes with a bunch of little dots all around it. Just put it in rice to dry it out even further. Im not sure if water or moisture is even the issue, it wasn't even barley a drizzle more like a few drops that came down.

Any ideas, not like I can send this thing back. Kind of scary that its that easy to have an optic on your carry gun the malfunctions just like that. Very frustrated with this and getting nervous.

What model do you have and version, one or two? The holosun optics have a night vision mode which is not visible in sunlight and barely visible in total darkness, if at all. Make sure you are in manual mode, not light sensing and play with the intensity settings, plus button to make sure that is not the problem. Now it should not change without your input but if a holster what hitting the down button repeatedly that could happen. Likely not an issue but worth exploring to make sure. If it is defective, holosun will replace it,mid they don’t have a v1 they will send a v2mwhochnis much better.

Just got a 507K-X2 mounted on Sig XL.

I think I ordered the Holosun on October 4. Received it Dec.10.

Stripped the screw on the XL baseplate;sent to Sig. Just got slide back today and mounted the optic. And I was careful with the screws when I removed the plate. I see I'm not the only one to do this. Maybe should have heated the slide b efore removing the screws?

I was wondering how the tritium sight plate on the XL has such skinny hex- screws and the Holosun screws (I used the smaller ones) look thicker.

The metal housing of my 507K is quite flat- matte;not even verging on glossy at all.

My first optic. Hate hearing the problems with it.

I hope it doesn't take 100 rounds to zero. The way things are going it will take me a few weeks to find out how it shoots.

Thanks to contributors of this thread. Hope to hear more about the 507Ks.

I’m having problems with my 507k X2. My batteries keep dying and the shake awake function doesn’t appear to be on or be working. I’ve read the instruction 10 times. I’ve tried holding the buttons for 10 mins and when it blinks I try to adjust the timer but absolutely nothing happens. No blinking or anything. I’ve gone through 5 batteries since March 16th of 2020 (its may 23) . I have to manually turn it off and sometimes even after I’ll check it while it’s lying on my desk not been touched for hours or days it will be on. Any tips? Is mine broken?

Contact holosun, great customer service. The issue is the battery life and perhaps they can help you or replace. The desk issue is likely nothing. Any vibration will start it up. I mean putting it on a shelf or desk and walking across the floor will start it up. When I got my first holosun I had a similar concern. I finally put it on a top shelf on a pile of t-shirts and waited 15 min then carefully snuck up on it, sure enough it was off. As soon as I touched the gun it started up.

I’ve sent two of them back now, before I sent the first in to holosun I received two that were defective right out of the box. One had a chipped lens and then the next had a cracked lens. Finally third time was the charm for that one. A few months back one tumble off my nightstand onto carpet, impacted on the muzzle, but the zero shifted significantly so it went back and was replaced under warranty. About a month ago the other one that I had been carrying didn’t have a dot, I figured the buttons got turned down, nope, dead battery, nope. The sight was completely dead. Holosun fixed that one and sent it back.

I figured this go around with Chinese optics would be different for me based on all the people who rave about them even going as far to say they’re as good or better than Trijicon even, but it was the same story as I’ve experienced before. Poor QC, and unreliable products.
