Sorry...getting ready for a slow day at the office.

I love them. My first introduction to them was on my HK45, which I purchased quite a few years back. Now, for IDPA and carry, I have two P30L's. (I may get a P30SK for carry this summer). They get a LOT of range time....practicing drills and such for defense and competition. I find them very, very intuitive and I can drop a mag without changing my strong-hand grip.

Any other fans? Anybody not like them?
I like the paddle release, especially on the P7M8. I believe it to be the first HK to have them, along with the M13.

Walther P99 AS is one of my favorite polymer pistols, I prefer the paddle mag release.

Paddle magazine release is the best ever!! One reason I’m a HK super fan! Never have to adjust my grip to activate the lever. I happen to use the middle finger of my dominate (right) shooting hand. So much faster than the push button design. Now, I do change all my USP’s and P2000’s levers out for the slightly longer HK45C release. Huge improvement, cheap and easy to do. The levers on the VP9 and Vp9sk are good out of the box. Same for the p30 models. I wish all manufacturers would at least give an option for paddle magazine releases!! Far superior in my personal opinion!!!

I like the paddle but having different pistols, it takes a minute or two to get used to it. Especially taking other pistols to the range.
Actually, I can do without it.

I prefer the paddle release and would like to have them on all of my pistols. It is far superior to the button release that is typical on most platforms. A paddle release can be used with the thumb or forefinger and is ambi which is vital if an injury is sustained.

The only HK paddle mag release I have is on an HK 41...and it’s mostly aesthetic as it also has the push-button release.

Now that is a rare rifle.

Swing down lower, or shelf?
