They have one at my local gun shop, but I'm leaning towards the .45 for a HD carbine. The 10mm is cool but only 8 rounds in the magazine. All the you tube videos are pretty positive.

I own one . Enjoy it. At 15.00 a box on the low side, a day at the range can add up quickly. I could not cowitness the Reddot with the steel sights. No biggie, 1.75 in. 5 shot group at 100yd. with S&B FMJ using Reddot. Finish is so so. If you look closely at ejector port you'll see the wear
. This carbine only has 1200 rnds through it. Most come with only 1 ten rnd magazine. You'll need to buy extras from the company. RedBall makes HiCap mags but I dont know of they make for the 10mm. Overall I love this carbine. If interested in one, shop around and you should find different configurations available at varying prices. Hope this helps.

I’ve had one since they first came out. Before that I bought an HP .45 carbine several years earlier. Both are reliable.
The 10mm shoots cheap imported 10mm like Magtec and S&B fairly well. I’ve tried better grade ammo like Sig Elite and while my G40 groups it tighter, the HP doesn’t seem to care.

At 25 yards the .45 groups tighter, at 50 it’s a wash and IMHO is the max effective range for both based on accuracy.

I also have a TNW ASR 10mm carbine, takes my g40 mags but cost twice as much, so for under $300 the HP is a bargain.

The HP stock is flimsy and the rails are not picatinney but weaver, so some filing may be needed for some accessories. I run a Redball Sports 20 round mag in my .45 and a 10mm version is coming. It’s actually better than the factory mags.

Since it’s a simple blowback the spring is heavy so it does take a bit of muscle to charge. HP does rate it for +p use.
