just bought glock 26 gen 4, first glock, can't seem to get the slide back on... it goes almost all the way but won't lock in all the way back, trying to leave to go to the range, plz help! lol

Make sure the recoil spring assembly is completely seated in the semi-circular notch on the barrel.

If that's not the problem, try resetting the trigger first.

When you feel resistance put a little bit of pressure on the trigger....then the slide should seat.

Make sure the firing pin is protruding through the breech face and the recoil spring assembly is properly seated. Also make sure you don't have an empty magazine in the gun.

on the right side of the frame, just push the trigger mechanism down until it resets, then the you can slide the slide all the way & it will lock it, geez i'm still half asleep hahaha

Not your fault because the instructions don't tell you to reset the trigger prior to assembly. On the Gen3s you don't need to, however I was watching a SHOT show video where a Glock rep said that you should reset the trigger with the Gen4s.

You can also reset it by simply pushing the tab on the trigger bar forward.
