My P32 that I bought about 6 months ago has been 100% so far . It only has about 100 rounds through it so far . I have read many post from people here with the same experience .

 

Same here. Only used Fiocchi round nose in it.

 

My P32 took some “fluff and buff” for reliability.

 

The P32 I have has digested all of the FMJ ammo I’ve run thru it- it’s hit or miss with HPs but I wouldn’t carry those in a 32 anyway.

 

So far my P17 has been perfect, only 200 rounds through it though.

 

my P17 was a cheap range time thrill for the first few hundred rounds....... now it has multiple failures to eject with every magazine........ tap, rack, bang drills are no-go's when one has to dig the casing out with yer pocketknife......... hoping for the best and better for you........

 

My P32 was irredeemable garbage. My P3AT was perfect, though a bit crude.

 

For me, the P3AT was the garbage and the P-11 was perfect though crude.

I didn't keep either.

Yes. Some.

The P17, SU16 and Sub2000 are the notable reliables.

There are some lemons for most of the other models.

That said, my P3AT and PF9 were 100% reliable.

 

The only KelTech I've got in my stable is a seriously low cost 9mm tack driver - Kel-Tec Sub2000 Gen 3

The only thing I don't like is the takedown and cleaning processes.

Then - I got the Extar EP9 - and the Sub2000 Gen3 sits alone in the safe...

 

I've got two Sub 2k's that have never had a hiccup. Seem to be simple and reliable.

 

What does clip fed mean?

 

You shove the rounds into the top with a clip a-la Mauser broom handle.

I think their products are ugly, but that's all I owned. I briefly owned their bullpup 556 rifle, but the front ejection made no sense to me (no way to clear a failure) so I sold it before shooting it.

I tried, put about 1k through mine. The barrel was so thin it was terrible suppressed. Manual of arms was not intuitive. I too sold mine.

 

P32 does not like high round count. I’m seeing beginnings of damage on frame rails and probably ought to get another for carry and use this one for practice only. But it’s damn tiny and those itty bitty aluminum frame tabs can only do so much.

 

Use grease (moly or lithium) on the slide rails

 

My P32 has been 100% with about 250-300 rounds of S&B and Am Eagle FMJs through it. I like it.

 

My Keltec works perfect - none of the papers I put under it have blown away yet.

 

My Sub2K, P11, P17 and P3AT are all reliable. My PM30 not so much.

 

Go to MCARBO website, get a few reliability parts from them. Golden after that

 

Is KelTec's customer service still top-notch and will fix or replace anything you send them?

Or... gone underwater being drowned by mail-in's?

 

My experience with their CS has been very good. I've shot my PF9 to death twice and Keltec rebuilds it to brand new condition. I contact them when I need little parts and they ship them out to me pronto. I have a PF15 and PF9.

The Kel-Tec 2000s are also very reliable.. and yes I've owned one (9mm.)

 

I had a few Sub2Ks that were reliable. However, I hated the cheek slaps from the heavy bolt. Great truck gun!!!

 

I bought a P17 based on reviews that praised its reliability, particularly those from Mixup98. He loved his so much he bought another one.

I have yet to be disappointed.

 

I have probably 500-600 rounds through my P17 and it's been great. It was a bit finicky with ammo when I had the ebay optic mount on it but since I broke down and bought the Kel-tec optic ready slide I've had zero issues. Their customer service was excellent, they actually have a person answer the phone without going through a bunch of prompts. I have no idea about their other guns, but the P17 is by far my favorite .22 pistol.

 

I carried a chrome plated P11 as a backup and CCW in the early 2000s and it was 100% reliable with 124 grain Gold Dots. The trigger was goofy but I could manage it. It would rust easily, but I cleaned it a lot. I have a Gen 2 Sub 2000 that has been totally reliable, but I don't shoot it very much because of the cheek weld needed to use the rear sight.

I thought the PR57 would be a good gun for occasional shooters who needed a simple no-frills gun with low recoil and very high capacity. But, the reports so far are spotty, and I am not going to burn a ton of 5.7 rounds to try to figure out if I got lucky before turning it over to someone I care about (or throwing the gun in a trash can).

 

My old first gen p3at. I don't shoot it much anymore , but it was perfectly reliable when I did. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's still the thinnest and lightest pocket .380 available.

I'll keep reading to see about the weight thing. Hard to imagine a thinner and lighter one.

 

My Gen 1 P32 that I bought 20 years ago was 100% reliable after the first 200 rounds, and after that I practiced with it weekly and put quite a few thousands of rounds through it in 20years before I retired the gun after it malfunctioned once and probably just needed a new recoil spring. The gen 1's had the spring loaded machined steel claw extractor.

Then about ten years ago I bought a 9mm PF9 with the rinky-dink stamped steel extractor and it was only somewhat reliable with certain ammo and I sent the gun back to Keltec under warrantee and when it was returned it still didn't reliably eject spent cartridges. So I sent it back to them again along with an angry letter asking them to tell me what actions they took to try to solve the problem and asking them to tell me if they test fired the gun.

Then when they sent it back AGAIN they included a note that said, Actions taken: "Replaced extractor, polished chamber." And then they sent a couple more of those stupit-ass stamped steel extractors for me to try my luck with them and perhaps even double up on them. I really liked the size of the gun for pocket carry because it's about the same size as a G42. Recoil is sharp but does not quite enter the pain threshold and is manageable.

But after all that I gave up on the gun and sold it to someone at a loss who thought they could make it work. The interesting thing is that on this forum and other forums I've heard from people who have found the PF-9's to be 100% reliable including the guy, George Zimmerman who successfully defended his life with a PF9 against a teenage thug, Trayvon Martin, who Zimmerman was holding at gunpoint for the police, when the alleged honor student and altar boy tried to grab Zimmerman's gun.

But as far as the P32's with the stamped steel extractor, once again a lot of people inducing someone on this very thread say that these guns are also reliable which doesn't surprise me because the 32 auto is a much lower pressure cartridge than the 9mm and besides that the 32 ACP is semi-rimmed and the stamped steel extractor might just be Ideal for that application but NOT for the 9mm.

 

P-11 is really a pretty good gun. Never had a stop of any sort. I liked that cheap little sucker.
