Hey guys, if you had a choice, which would you prefer…a Glock in full gray or 2 tone with the frame in gray and the slide in black. Thanks for your opinions.

I would rather own 100% factory GLOCKs. No aftermarket finishes for me.

Since the all gray ones are done elsewhere I would opt for the gray factory frame and black slide.

Cerakote can't hold up to a holster without showing a lot of wear quickly. AMHIK.

Buy the molded grey frame/black slide version and send it to the folks Glock uses for NIB-x.

Now if they would hurry up and release a grey framed 43...

I picked up the 2 tone a coup!e months back, I love it,it took a while to find one so if your looking grab one quick, the lipseys two tone is done by Glock for lipseys, and it is gray polymer, not ceracote, and are allocated to to dealers that buy from lipseys, ihads to do my homework it took me 3 months to find one and then had to special order it thru Silver Bullet firearms, it was worth thee wait

I don't care for cerakoted frames (or cerakoted polymer) much less slides, so all my grey framed Glocks (4ea) are factory grey frames w/factory slide finish. I don't think cerakote holds up to the standard slide finish, which today's Glocks lack the finish of yester-year.

It was too close to call for me. I like both. In the end I went with the Lipsey's full gray, but I may have gone for a two tone had I held one before the full gray. Although I figured that the factory black finish would hold up better than a Cerakoted slide, I decided it would not be a really big deal to have to get the full gray slide re-Cerakoted, maybe even in a different color. One thing I did insist upon was a gray polymer frame rather than a Cerakoted frame. The Lipsey's guns, at least, have a gray polymer frame. YMMV

I know we all have different taste, by I like the 2 tone better.

I'm old school and I rather stay with black on all my Glock pistols. As for revolvers, stainless is what I prefer.

I have a grey frame G19. But I am thinking that I might want to trade it for an early Gen4 with the "frying pan" finish slide.

I bought the 2 tone, but the only one available had 3-10 round mags.:steamed:
