The picture does not appear to show an OEM barrel.Box stock. Ate everything, yes the usual FTF every once in a while. But like all my Glocks up until today. Ran and ran never an issue until today. I came here to share it. I agree this is not my choice for anything other than plinking , training or squirrels. Lose the 44 for any carry or home defense. IMHO. NOBODY WAS MORE SHOCKED THAN ME.
What ammo were you using and also were you making sure to load the mags correctly? The son in law has a G44 that we shot at the GSSF match at Camp Perry this year. We both shot the course twice and never did get to finish the match because of malfunctions, usually failure to feed or failure to eject. It wouldn't even begin to shoot standard velocity ammo.
There are a few of us that have well over 20,000 rounds fired through the G44 without any issues. So I wouldn't say that it is a bad design. Even the polymer locking block in mine is still the original from the factory with a high round count.Thank you for posting this along with the pictures. You have now made up my decision in which to NOT purchase this particular Glock pistol. I have always been suspect of this design. Glock Inc. allegedly spent several years in development and fired millions of various .22 LR rounds before marketing this pistol. Hopefully this is just a rare incident.
