The G26 is a lot more gun. 9mm vs .380, greater capacity and still small and easy to conceal and carry. The G42 is what you carry if you can't carry a G26 in my mind.

I have much more fun shooting the G26 than I do shooting the G42. And ammunition seems a bit less expensive for the G26.

concelability of the g42 if you don't have one plz don't comment !!!!
It's not your thread so you don't get to make the rules:supergrin:

Glock 42 vs 26
If you had to choose either the 42 or 26 for ccw and for just having fun shooting which would you choose and for what reasons?

I already chose G26 because I don't like 380. Overpriced ammo and in most cases anemic

I agree with Mick.

I have no problem concealing a G17 in shorts and a t shirt. The G26 just disappears on me. I see no need for something smaller.

posted from my stupid smart phone, please excuse any spelling mistakes.

My wife got a G42 because her hands are too small to grip even the G26. Her shooting-hand knuckle has to ride right under the beavertail in order to actually get any part of her finger on the trigger. Obviously, this results in a very inpleasant shooting experience.

Of course, the G42 is indeed much easier to conceal for women who don't wear standard "carry clothes" very often (or at all). She just took the CC course and has been experimenting around the house with it.

But, the G42 to me is less pleasant to shoot than the g26. Not that it has more overall recoil, but it is snappier and my trigger finger ends up a little tender from the inside of the trigger guard rapping it under recoil.

I have a G27 that I originally bought to conceal, but honestly find it just to big of a pain in the ass most of the time. Between the smartphone, keys, and the fact that I wear shorts most of the time, I moved to a 42 in a pocket holster.

I keep the bigger stuff to home protection and range fun.

How were you trying to carry it?

I carry about 4x more than that in my cargo shorts every day and my G21 rides all day just fine. In fact I took a nap earlier while wearing the G21.

The Glock 26 is great for CCW but you do need a good holster and belt, it is a noticeably bigger and heavier gun than the 42. I'd like the size of the 42 but I'm part of the .380 sucks club... I want my single stack 9mm Glock.

And in general, CC is all a balance between comfortable and comforting. I tend to err on keeping my mind at ease rather than my waist, hence the EDC being a G21 loaded with +P....+ hehehe.
