Just an idea. If Glock introduced a gen 5 Glock 26X, or a Glock 26 slide on a Glock 19 frame, would you buy?

SNICKERThe 19X has an enhanced Gen5 trigger, match grade barrel and night sights, plus increased round count. A stock 26 with a joy stick is a stock 26 with a joy stick. Any 26 with a drum surely would have a red neck attached? You'd be better served having a 26 with a dancing banana
That’s a stupid post. The shorter slide does make it easier to conceal and it’s especially better for cops and OWB carry when sitting. Not to mention a shorter slide is better for red dots. The G19x does not have a shorter slide to make it easier to conceal. But the longer grip makes it easier to shoot.
The reason the G19X has a short slide and a long grip was because that was what was specified for the MHS trials and the G19X is basically the MHS trials gun without the dumbass safety.
As it turned out the G19X is a nicely proportioned gun that balances well in the hand and without the finger grooves and the mag cut-out if feels very good in the hand but the shorter slide does not make it any better for concealability because the hardest thing to conceal is the grip.
Therefore nothing would be gained by mating a G19 grip with a G26 slide ESPECIALLY if it were a gen 5 with the dumbass mag cut-out at the bottom of the grip which is even worse on the 19 than it is on the 17. And a regular Gen 5 G26 would be a far better gun because it doesn't have either finger grooves OR a mag cut-out and is better for concealment than an idiotic G26 with a G19 grip would be.
Would I buy one? hell no. Would I allow someone to give me one? Yes, but I'd sell it and use the money to buy a 19x when Glock starts making them in black.
