Glock 26X, would you buy one?

Just an idea. If Glock introduced a gen 5 Glock 26X, or a Glock 26 slide on a Glock 19 frame, would you buy?

Interesting idea but frankly wouldnt just putting a glock 19 magazine into a glock 26 be the same thing without the extra cost of anothe glock? I guess I just don't get all of this X weapon trending.

Exactly what Joco34 wrote. I can put a G19, or 17 mag in my G26, with or without a spacer, and does that not get the same thing?

I think that is going in the wrong direction for me. Now, a G-26 frame with a G-19 slide(or G17 slide on a G19 frame) I would be all over! Shorter grip for better concealment, and longer slide for better sigh R radius and ballistics! But then, I always carry IWB which makes the longer slide/barrel a non-issue for concealment. Just my preference.

I already have 2. A Gen 3 26 with a Taran Tactical +3, improved carry trigger, KKM (Match Grade Barrel) and Trijicon HDs. The other is a Gen 3 27 equipped the same way with a 40 to 9 KKM Barrel. The best part, I didn't have to wait for the Black one

The 19X has an enhanced Gen5 trigger, match grade barrel and night sights, plus increased round count. A stock 26 with a joy stick is a stock 26 with a joy stick. Any 26 with a drum surely would have a red neck attached? You'd be better served having a 26 with a dancing banana

Nope, the 19 grip is the one that doesn't work for me. I find the 26 with the OEM +2 extension works better for me. Both to shoot and conceal.

The G19x does not have a shorter slide to make it easier to conceal. But the longer grip makes it easier to shoot.

The reason the G19X has a short slide and a long grip was because that was what was specified for the MHS trials and the G19X is basically the MHS trials gun without the dumbass safety.

As it turned out the G19X is a nicely proportioned gun that balances well in the hand and without the finger grooves and the mag cut-out if feels very good in the hand but the shorter slide does not make it any better for concealability because the hardest thing to conceal is the grip.

Therefore nothing would be gained by mating a G19 grip with a G26 slide ESPECIALLY if it were a gen 5 with the dumbass mag cut-out at the bottom of the grip which is even worse on the 19 than it is on the 17. And a regular Gen 5 G26 would be a far better gun because it doesn't have either finger grooves OR a mag cut-out and is better for concealment than an idiotic G26 with a G19 grip would be.

Would I buy one? hell no. Would I allow someone to give me one? Yes, but I'd sell it and use the money to buy a 19x when Glock starts making them in black.

That’s a stupid post. The shorter slide does make it easier to conceal and it’s especially better for cops and OWB carry when sitting. Not to mention a shorter slide is better for red dots.

A Glock 26x would be a perfect gun for a Roland host.

No, I would not buy a 26X, as I have no purpose for it.

There comes a time when you just have to say to yourself that you can't buy everything new that comes out - just because it's new.

Remember when the Gen5 was introduced and it was all the rage, the new crème de la crème? Now just months later the 19x is the new new crème de la crème? Good grief, what's next? A G43 slide on a G17 frame with three 33 round G18 mags standard??? Or a G40 slide on a G29 frame with three 10 round mags standard???

Glock is apparently running out of ideas. I wish they'd humor me with a more ergonomically designed frame instead of offering up these BS combinations in an effort to remain relevent and up to date. I own a number of Glocks, but since I don't have a particularly strong affinity for them I have the ability to be more critical of them, especially concerning the latest "new" offerings. And there's nothing there that has piqued my interest in the least...

Running out of ideas, hmmm? I'm going out here on a limb thinking the 19X is the gun that Glock designed/proposed for the military? Why would they sell something that has been sold out since its introduction, what sort of sense does that make? And relating to purchasing everything new that comes out, I have my preferred brands that I do this with. You obviously can't please everyone, but they sure seem to humor me. As for your affinity towards certain things, I too purchase other things besides Glock products, and attempt to be positive about doing so. If I purchase something I'm not dazzled with, I either sell or trade or put them with the others I have, but I try not to be a buzz kill. BTW, I tried a new place for dinner Saturday evening and it was horrid. Exactly. Maybe they should make a 42 with a pacifier?
