Glock 23 - Gen2 vs. Gen3?

Hey y'all - I'm looking to sell my Glock 23 RTF as I typically shoot 9mm now and want to buy a Glock 26 as my new CCW (been carrying the 19 for a couple years).

Anyone have a good way to determine if my Glock 23 is a Gen2 or Gen3? Was my first Glock when I didn't know enough to ask :embarassed: It's got an original RTF frame with gills on the slide... not sure if that helps. Just want to make sure I list it properly when I post this for sale on classifieds. Can post a picture tonight if that would be helpful.

Thanks for any help!

Good deal. Thanks guys. I'll snap a picture tonight and upload. Supposedly RTF with gills is "rare"... that's what everyone seems to say on gunbroker.com. Thoughts?

Any idea what something like that goes for? It's in pretty good condition. I've looked at gunbroker.com but am surprised at how high prices are for a used Glock... my gun has a scratch on front sight, but otherwise is in good condition.

I don't know if I would say that it is all that rare, I still see some of them for sale and they are either the same price or only $50 more. The Glock 22 and 23 seems to be the most common to have gills.
