Yeah that's why I think they get better with time or leaving the slide locked back during storage.

I was told that the frames are the same size and just the top end slide is different,

from you pictures it looks like the 43 frame is slightly larger, Are the frames the same size ?

how much difference is there in the size of the magazines? I just order a custom magazine sleeve for my 42 and hope the 43 magazines will fit in it also

We just can't seem to muster the requisite interest to want to buy a 43. We have a brace of LC9s guns and they are slimmer, shorter and are 7+1. The LC9s is a tad longer in the grip but that is not enough to get past one less round in what is essentially a larger gun.
