Seems useless as tits on a borehog, unless someone actually plans on concealed carrying a homemade gun? I love the ergos of my Poly G23, but it’s kinda like Dwight’s retarded cousin Mose from The Office. Don’t want to take it out in public and there’s no way to get rid of it.

A few words from noted psychiatrist Dr. Sigmund Powernoodle:

This is all about feeling good, and distracting oneself from the train wreck between one's ears. I do exactly the same thing by buying a new gun or knife or Maxpedition bag that I don't need.

It makes no objective sense to replace a proven OEM frame with a goofy looking one of unknown quality - and relieving yourself of $130 in the process - just like it makes no objective sense for me to buy another knife when I already have 100 of them that I never use. But feeling good is not about being objective or making sense. Feeling good is about feeling good.

I think that if we recognize what's going on here, then we are doing okay. Its healthy. Its only "unhealthy" when we fail to acknowledge reality and start trying to convince ourselves or others that an aftermarket Glock frame (or knife or Maxpedition bag) is "better" and that we "need" it. They aren't, and we don't. This is the great, unbridgeable chasm between needs and wants.
