Looking for a good OWB holster for a Glock 20. Have a chest holster I like but looking for an OWB one for different use. Any help would be really appreciated

I wear one of these to carry my G19 and I love it. The body sheild keeps the slide from rubbing up on my skin. (y)

Looks like Don Hume's website has this model in stock for the G20:

Don Hume H721OT Belt Holster @ Gunner's Alley (About 30 to 45 days before they will be available) Has more pictures of the holster.

Blackhawk does a pretty good Kydex holster, with lots of options. For leather, I like the El Paso Saddlery Street Combat holster. Open-topped or full-flap designs designs work the most safely. I prefer Kydex as it is light, draws quickly, and has pretty good retention, but I use leather flap holsters in the field.

Ivory Holsters makes some amazing stuff for OWB and packs for hunting.

Have a look here:

I suggest you check out the BLACKHAWK T-SERIES holsters. I got the L2C for my Glock 19's and I am very pleased. Good retention and a nice locking mechanism which I feel is an improvement over their Serpa holster series.

The very best (to me) OWB holster I have ever owned, bar none, and I have had several of these. They are no longer made, and as far as I know, this is one of the very few places left that still have a few left. I recently bought one for the G20 that I currently own. I searched for a long time until I found this, and was tickled when I did.

The design, build quality, fit/finish, retention and comfort are all quite outstanding. The best part is, if you despise threading a belt through a holster, like I do, you will love those belt loop snaps.

Comp-Tac stopped making those under the new ownership. I have been bugging them to start making them again, and am currently searching almost daily for one for my G29 (even looking for used holsters, and I have a wanted ad posted in the classifieds here).

I do like my comptac international for Glock 19. I have been considering getting the same or their warrior holster for the G20. Any thoughts on these?

This holster I bought for my g20.4. It works very nicely and it also fits my g19x and both my sig 226 and 220. Good and cheap is rare these days. I did have to trim a bit of leather on the belt loops for my bigfoot belt. It's the thickest one. Holds all of those pistols nicely but not so much you can't draw them.

Check out Alien Gear. You can try it for 30 days and if you don't like it, send it back for a refund. They warranty their holsters for life and will repair or replace any component if it breaks. If you change firearms, fill out the form they have, send it along with the holster shell for the old firearm, and they'll send you a replacement shell for the new gun. All you're out is the postage for the return. The exchange does not apply to their Shape Shift line. For OWB they offer three options, the original Cloak Slide, the newer Cloak belt holster, and the Cloak Mod that gives you the option of belt loops or a paddle.

Purpose and use?
Do you need it concealed?
Does it need retention against natural and un-natural loss?
Budget?

One holster does not fit all.
All those need to be considered, rather than just throwing suggestions at you. Nothing beats trying, and having a selection and collection of holsters, for when the above varies day to day.

For a rugged functional, concealable, level one retention, nothing beats the single piece Glock Combat holster that can be had for under $15. If you want to up the retention to level 2, they also have a Glock Duty holster with strap.

No one torture test reviews these holsters. If you go to some force on force schools with your holster, you may decide that particular holster/belt is not going to work.
If you look at a lot of holsters on the market, ask what happens if a a force is applied at the grip and ripped directly outward and down away from the body. Are those RIVETS going to rip right out. Think about the construction on your holsters.
