Front night sight issues with internally ported slide/barrel

So I picked up the Gen 4 G35 and I'm really stoked about it. Since the slide is ported I want to drop in an aftermarket standard length internally ported barrel. I eventually want to upgrade to either night sights or fiber optics but the one problem I hear about that is that the front sight will get soiled by the gasses emmited through the porting and they will eventually damage the front night sight.

Has anyone had experience with this issue? Is there perhaps a make of night sights that has not had this problem? What about fiber optics, perhaps it won't have the same long term damage as night sights? I don't mind having to clean it off after shooting but I just don't want to permanently mess up my sights. I'm hoping there's a solution without going back to the stock barrel. Thanks in advance.

At the time all they had was red. They have since added green. I am going to purchase the green soon.

I have some additional information. I checked the sight on my 17c against my 34 last night and it looks like the sight will protrude into the slide opening.

Oh ok thanks for the heads up. I'm still trying to figure out exactly which one you got. Here are all the glock fiber optic front sights:

what is the sku # of the one you got?
