When putting the factory trigger spring back in (between the trigger housing and the trigger bar) does it matter which way which end goes on what (hook up / hook down on housing or trigger bar) ?

Spring should go hook down in the trigger bar end. If you have the old trigger bars and its not worn out in the hole area, its a good idea to slightly round the edges of the hole, in some cases, when not installed properly, the trigger spring gets broken right there. When putting the factory trigger spring back in (between the trigger housing and the trigger bar) does it matter which way which end goes on what (hook up / hook down on housing or trigger bar) ?

THE SPRING COULD COME OFF THE TRIGGER BARThank you !
BTW, what happens if you invert it?
I've ALWAYS ran my Glocks w/ at least a NY1 since day one when I got my first one, just for a little added "peace of mind" liability wise, God forbid I wind up in court after a shooting (although I am not sure if it would even matter regardless). I had heard of the factory spring breaking, but yet have to have one do it either. I change mine again more for my personal feelings about liability than I do fear of breakage (although I do like the idea the breaking issue is removed w/ the NY1 too).... I opened up my gun to exchange the comp springs with the oem-ones and found out I installed the same trigger spring in the opposite way ...
Shot about a thousand rounds with every one of my three barrels - .40, 9mm and the .357sig ... Spring looked fine, btw I did not noticed much of trigger change with the oem springs ...
There is no big need to worry about breakage, it doesn't happen very often, and the gun will still work anyway....if ya know how to work it.I change mine again more for my personal feelings about liability than I do fear of breakage (although I do like the idea the breaking issue is removed w/ the NY1 too).
I had one of the older trigger springs break in my 19 .. but they will sitll fire without the spring http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf :wavey:I've ALWAYS ran my Glocks w/ at least a NY1 since day one when I got my first one, just for a little added "peace of mind" liability wise, God forbid I wind up in court after a shooting (although I am not sure if it would even matter regardless). I started running the 4.5 (then 3.5) connector w/ the NY1 a few years ago and have run all mine this way since (so much for wanting the added weight of the NY1 liability wise. I know a LOT of people DON'T like this, and complain it makes it "mushy", but I have gotten used to it and can shoot to the point I am content with it. But I am also running this setup in all my HD/SD guns too, so I may switch my 34 back to the factory spring and the 4.5 just for giggles and to make it easier to shoot too at distance.
Don't get me wrong, I can do it at distance w/ the NY1 and 4.5 conn, but I just know life would be easier w/ the 34 at 50'-00" plus with the stock setup.
My HD/SD guns WILL stay w/ my other deal though.
Isn't FL a great state ? LOLPlus, I live in FL, I don't see much complications with using something other than oem parts, I'm not LEO...![]()
