I’ve never had a problem with mine. It’s as accurate as I am. I personally would recommend getting a version with front-strap checkering because it helps to keep this tiny and light 9mm under much better control. I have had the CDP version since they became available probably some 5 years ago and have zero regrets. I was debating between that and the also excellent Sig P938 but went with the Kimber based on how it felt in my hand.

I like mine a lot. It's a little snappier to shoot than my Shield. 7+1 capacity works for me. It's not hard to drop the mag with a "revolver style" thumbs down grip. It shoots great with the thumbs up grip tho. It's just big enough to grip well, very light to carry and the trigger isn't bad but it was a little rough the first couple hundred rounds. It smooths out with some shooting. The accuracy is very good and it's been reliable.

I had one and while interesting is nothing unique or special. Sig’s are similar and it is essentially the same as Springfield EMP.

I sold my EMP and later the Micro 9. They are somewhat nostalgic but nothing special . Obviously I knew that after carrying and shooting them.

For metal pistols, the Kahr MK9 is superior in performance, accuracy, and reliability.

Any small Glock is a better weapon for reliability and general performance than a Micro 9.

Go to one of the Kimber forums and take to heart the issues some folks have with a Micro 9.

I don't know about the Micro 9 you are asking about. They are eye appealing and feel OK in the hand. I've not shot one.
But, this past summer my nephew had issues with Kimber's customer service. Took all summer for Kimber to finally do the right thing concerning a centerfire rifle nephew bought. After that,, I personally ,,would be very suspicious of going with a Kimber anything.
Can you find something size wise compatible in a Glock ?,,maybe a Sig ?

This is one of many issues with Kimber Micro 9 on the Kimber Forum.

My Micro 9 replaced a Kahr PM9. Granted, it’s not an MK9, but it’s also much lighter and easier to carry as well. My experience with Kahr was that it had reliability issues feeding from the beginning which was fixed with new springs and a new magazine.

The Micro 9 trigger is infinitely better than the Kahr’s long striker pull and my personal experience is the accuracy is much superior. My groups shrank considerably with the Kimber.

As far as issues go, all companies can put out a bad gun. Sig, Glock, Kimber, etc. They all have warranties for a reason.

I disagree with a Glock being a better solution. I’ve tried a G48. It was not superior in any respect. The grip was too narrow and the recoil was just as snappy, if not worse. The gun itself is a bulkier carry.

I have a Micro 9 Rapide Black Ice. It replaced my Glock 42.

Like all pistols you need to find ammo it ‘likes’. Mine does well with Federal of any flavor, range/training, HST or Punch.

Micro 9’s are ‘wet’ lube versus a Glock which tend to run dry. I’ve had a couple of mag drops which I suspect are from the mag release mechanism being dirty.

My Rapide is smaller and lighter than both a Glock 43 and Sig P365.

I own 4 Kimbers. 2 micros 1 full size Custom 2 and 1 Ultra Cary 2. All of mine run great. The Custom 2 has seen thousands of rounds and is by far the most accurate and reliable weapon I own. I consistently shoot the center out if clay targets at 50 meters with ease. Both of the micros run well and are reliable as well. The Ultra, I just picked up a few weeks ago and ran 200 rounds through it right out of the box with just a little lube. Not one mishap. I am, and always will be, a 1911 fan. I love my Glocks, but nothing compares to a 1911 imo.

I’m happy with mine. Has never jammed. I shoot it pretty well. About the only thing I don’t like about it is the pretty wood grips are slick. Not a real problem except during a long range session. I installed a MCarbo spring kit that really helped the trigger.

I find these wanta be 1911 mini's a way bother type of handgun and my wife who is all of 5'2" did not care about them ether saying there just to small for fast easy control when shooting draw and fire drills and she carrys a kimber stainless ultra 9mm for the last 3 years and has about 3200 rounds issue free threw it . The lady that had the a kimber mini 9 sold it not because of any issues but wanted something a bit larger with a bit more grip and 3.5" barrel .

Someone mentioned a little kahr . See if you can easily rack the slide as they run heavy recoil springs and will eat a steady diet of hot +P ammo along with having tight chambers lower quality ammo has to be plunk tested at least . I carried a 4" TP40 for 7 years before I had to have several hand surgeries and could not longer grip and control well enought to carry so a son in law has it now but 15 years I think and its never had any issues useing 155gr handloads and underwood 155gr gd loads . I still have a 45acp CT45 but only started shooting it again with standard pressure ammo and I use 1911 mags in it too .

If your looking at mini 9mm wanta be 1911 you most want a pocket gun ?? At least try to shoot one of these little bits and and some of the other striker fired models see if you even want any of them Small short grip and barrel pistol can have function problems but most times it ammo and shooter related .

I considered a Micro 9 a few years ago, but I carry "Micro guns"
in a pocket holster, and I won't use a single action (or striker
piece) for that - it has to be DAO for me.

Also, I've read a lot of negative reviews about the Micro 9,
and even considering the "novice" potential of these reviews,
there's still a good amount of them.

I had one.
I bought it after having their Micro .380.
They where matching SS n wood.
I still have the .380 for times when I can’t pocket carry my P365 like with jeans.
The Micro 9 was no fun to shoot!

I don't have a Kimber Micro 9 but have the Sig P938 which is basically the same pistol. They carry easily in the pocket or with a good IWB holster. I find mine easy to shoot and plenty accurate for its size. The Micro 9 and Sig P938 are approximately 1/4" shorter in both height and length than the G43 and my P938 is 2 ounces lighter when both are fully loaded.
