So MidwayUSA has this holster on sale for $22.94! $22.94! I needed a holster for my 43, and I figured at that price, it was worth “trying.”

The propaganda stated that its features were:
  • Adjustable for cant and ride height
  • Tuckable
  • Ambidextrous
Pretty cool! Here’s the link - https://www.midwayusa.com/product/177628/pegasus-slim-tuk-holster

It was kind of hard for me to imagine how it’s cant would be adjustable from the picture, but their solution is rather genius really.

I carry at my 4, and I like a little cant, so it’s an important feature. This looks like a system that could really work!

But the height thing was a serious issue. This thing rides low! Way to low for me.

I can’t draw properly with it set up as shipped. And I hate the solution... which is obviously to lower the clip.

I’ve always found doing this, giving the holster only one screw to hold on to makes the printing way more obvious! And it does print more. But it really works hight wise, and keeps my red dot away from my belt too! So yay?

Yeah, yay for now. One screw makes for a floppy hold, but it’s a 43, it’ll be fine. @ just under 23 bucks, i’m pretty pleased. I’ll wear it for a while and report back. I think i’ll like it though.

In case you wanted an inexpensive holster...

I have a DeSantis Slim Tuk for a G19.

It was my second holster ever. I think it’s good holster but the belt clip didn’t work for me after a while. It would come off my belt when I was out and about and the gun was just being held in by my waistband.

After a while the the teeth that hold the adjustment of the clip wouldn’t hold but I think loctite in the screw hole would have solved that.
All in all I think it’s a good holster.

So looking at the pics, the differences between our setups is that you have a grip sleeve that takes up space. That combined with the "cant" angle you prefer, probably explains why you aren't getting enough grip clearance compared to me.

I noticed that - the difference couldn’t be more pronounced because of it. Remarkable really.

Spend the money and get a Veddar for your set up because it is worth it.
