Hey all,

I'd like to know a bit about these 2 carry guns. I've never had the chance to handle either one, so my knowledge is very limited.

If you were going to buy a new carry pistol, which one would you choose and why?

Lastly, how does each of them shoot and handle for you?

Don't have a lot of fun time with the Sig, but my P-07 out shoots pistolas twice the price!! Tried not to like it so much but actually I love if!

I still like the concept of DA/SA for carry, so I'd pick the CZ.

I own a couple of CZs from back in the day, but would not go with the P-07 simply because of the DA/SA setup. I just don't dig DA/SA, but one can get used to it. Imagine walking up the stairs. On the first step, you weigh 400 lbs. For all subsequent steps, you weigh 120 lbs. That's DA/SA. Yeah, you can adapt, but why? Plus, the P320 is a fine piece of gun, and is going to get tons of aftermarket accessories and holsters due to its military contract. So for me, its P320 all the way. I have all 3x sizes. Love it.

Well, it would take less effort that if you weighed 250 pounds for every step, of course depending on the number of stairs.

I chose the P-07. I carry mine just like my 1911 and CZ 75 SA, SAO. Soooo my steps aren't 400 pounds, it's a very consistent 4 1/2 pounds.

The CZ shoots and carries great for me, can be SA or DA/SA with decocker. Has the back straps to help fit your hand.

I was really looking at the P-09 vs the 320 fullsize. They both feel good and shoot great. The DA/SA is the deciding factor for me, I jist don't like it. I went 320 and am very happy.

My preference is towards the 320, as I prefer striker guns. The 07 is a fine pistol though, and wouldn't have an issue with it as a carry gun. The 07 might require a bit more training being DA/SA if you haven't spent much time with them. The 320 being a striker, is a tad easier system to work with, that of course is my opinion.

Then again my CZ fix will be taken care of as soon as my P-10 arrives...

I like DA/SA pistols for carry, but the only CZ P-07 I have shot was one of the older "Duty" models and it had one of the worst DA triggers I have encountered. Extremely gritty. Perhaps it was a fluke or perhaps the trigger has been updated.

I have heard good things about the CZ P-01 and CZ 75 D PCR, but those are alloy frame pistols. If I was in the market for a polymer-frame DA/SA pistol, I would probably get a Beretta PX4 or possibly a SIG 2022.

The SIG P320 is my favorite polymer-frame, striker-action pistol to date.

Id take the cz. Better gun imo.

Between the two, I would pick the CZ. I have owned a few Sigs, but won't buy another. I think the CZ is a much better pistol.

I will buy more.

My son has the P07 and I was shocked at how well it shoots and the trigger quality.

That said, I bought the P320 for the trigger. But I'm looking for a 75 and will likely buy one.

I've shot the CZ P-07 and the P320. I liked the CZ much better. The grip felt better and I felt the bore axis was more to my liking. But this is how it was for me. I strongly recommend that you handle and shoot them. It's the only way you are going to determine which one is right for you. They both are great guns and you can't go wrong with either one of them. But as Bac says they are totally different platforms.

If you can borrow them or rent them, do so.

I nearly bought a walther ppq. Went out and rented it and a vp9. Shot them next to my steyr as well as a p01.

I shot a mag through the ppq and was done. If i wanted that much snap id buy a larger caliber. Everyone here seems to love them, but with it being probably the snapiest 9mm ive shot...I didn't want it anymore.

I found out that I shot the cz the best and the vp9/steyr where pretty close.

Do a review online regarding each companies Customer Service.

I have yet to read of CZ screwing anyone over. Slow at times perhaps... SIG on the other hand... some of their reviews are off putting.

I would get the CZ. You should hold and fire each first tho, because your hands/eyes are not mine...

The only dog in the fight I have between those two is the P320 Compact.9mm. I like it,it is only a few weeks new so I don't have a lot of trigger time on it yet,only a couple hundred rounds but no malfunction in that amount although that is hardly enough to base reliability on with any weapon.Accuracy is good.I like the trigger.It has a short take up and short reset,just right for my trigger finger. I'm used to a lower bore axis with my Glock or M&P's but really,I don't even notice it when I am shooting the 320.I like the clean lines on the 320.The grip is really nice and feels like a grip should.
