Hello.
I recently purchased a CX4 Storm 9mm carbine. I love the gun and it has performed flawlessly after 400 rounds. My CX4 uses the 92FS mags, not the PX4 mags. I recently purchased a second magazine for the gun on eBay. The new magazine is an authentic Beretta 92FS in 10 rounds (same size as my original clip). I noticed that when inserting the empty new magazine into the gun and racking the charging handle, the bolt does not stay in the open/back position, like it should. This leads me to believe that this magazine will not allow for the bolt-open after last shot fired feature. I have not tried to fire the gun, or chamber a bullet, using the new magazine because I am thinking about sending it back for a refund. I observed my two mags side by side and they appear identical in almost every respect.
Is there a reason a factory authentic magazine from Beretta would not operate properly in my gun? Chould it correct itself after a few boxes of ammo (maybe the mag spring is too tight and needs to be broken in?), or is it just a factory defect? Thanks for any help you can provide.
