Cleaning w/out disassembly?

I have a bit of an odd question, but do you think that a semi auto 22 rifle (think Marlin 60 or Ruger 10/22) would be able to be cleaned sufficiently without disassembly? I am thinking lock the bolt back, spray out the action with CLP or action cleaner, spray out with compressed air, wipe out what I can with a rag, run a boresnake through the bore, spray a little more CLP in there for lube and call it good?

Mainly a question for the harder to take apart rifles when taking somewhere where I don't have access to a full cleaning kit and I'm shooting a lot of rounds. I know CLP makes a larger aerosol can that is just compressed air so I'm thinking with that, the regular CLP spray bottle, a rag and a boresnake I could have a small kit in my range bag that would help me keep a gun running properly if I'm shooting a lot of rounds?

Thanks

Year ago I had a Model 60, fired it till the bolt gritted-up.

Locked it open and sprayed carb or brake cleaner, then ran another 2K of the cheap stuff.

Must have put 20K through that $20 gun, absolute tack driver!
Nice, thinking about getting the Marlin 795. Same gun as the 60, just mag fed and about $50 cheaper here. I want something I can take up to a family members farm and shoot some bulk pack through, spray it out and keep shooting.

Not to mention about half the price. I was looking at the Savage 64F, but I don't like there's no replacement parts to be found anywhere really. With the rough treatment and the round count I'm planning on giving this "beater" gun, buying a replacement part or spring is a good thing. I don't care for the tube fed model 60 too much, I'm too used to a box mag.

I have good luck with my guns running very reliably and my cleaning routine is not even what you described undercover.
Lock back bore snake a few times, clean what I can reach with rag patches Q tips and call it good. No solvent no sprays no extra liquids. Wipe as much dried crud as I can get to out a few drops of oil in the critical areas and keep on trucking.

Probably be fine. With most guns, if you can field strip to get the bolt out of the action it makes it easier to clean.

I bought a .22 semi auto that the owner said always jammed. He was a bore snake kind of guy. I took the bolt out and cleaned the barrel and pathway where the bolt ran. Then I cleaned the bolt itself, using a toothpick to clean under the extractor good. The gun then ran fine and hasn't had a single jam with me since.

That wasn't a disassembly, just a field strip to get at the bolt :)
