Well, I picked this up last week after a previous visit to my FFL guy to pick up another gun.
He showed me his and I never heard of it before. After handling this handgun I was blown away by the trigger, went home and watched reviews on you tube and ordered it! Now Im picky when it comes to triggers and this trigger is on par with my Walther PPQ but a little lighter. The trigger is a tad over 4 lbs and the reset very short like the PPQ. No take up after reset either and nice break with a tactical sound/feel on reset with good resistance going back to reset. The trigger face is like the PPQ and feels nice.
Now I had been in the market for another 9mm and after hearing all the hype of the HK VP9 I had went and checked them out. I handled 3 HK VP9s at different shops and I just wasnt impressed with the trigger or the cheap looking sights. Manly it was the longer reset and lack of resistance going to reset, reminded me of the M&P trigger. I also felt the VP9 should of came with 17 round mags also, but it didnt.
So onto this Century Arms Canik TP9SA
It has 18round mags, made by MecGar no less. It comes with 2, mag loader, lock, Serpa type holster and an extra back strap! The recoil guide rod is metal too.
It has a decocker on the top of the slide which has to be really pushed so you would not accidentally decock this pistol.
Is it needed? No not IMO but I wont worry its there. This will not be a carry gun anyway.
I have not got a chance to shoot it yet, but my FFL Guy loves it so much he bought 2 of them. By looking at his targets he showed me its an accurate handgun.
The kicker here is you can pick them up for $339 which IMO is a steal! Let me add that there was a Canik TP9 first and it was not well liked, the company listened to the public and revamped it into a fabulous handgun IMO. Guns like this and My PPQ make me kinda dislike my Glocks, lol.
Here is the link also included is all the reviews and Videos of this handgun if you dont wanna believe me

Very impressive handgun and setup. When two different internet gurus both comment the trigger is within the top 3 striker triggers they've tried and it is compared with the PPQ by almost every review I read, it is worth a serious consideration.

I've recommended to a couple new shooters they need a Ruger P series 9mm as a good range/training handgun, looks like I may have to get one of these and if it passes muster, begin recommending these as well. They are more abundant, brand new, and fit the same price point.

I just picked up one last night as well. Obviously I am a glock guru, but my first thoughts from just handling this gun was "Uh oh". I think my glocks should be scared.

I can't wait to hit the range. It would have to shoot really bad to overcome how good the ergonomics and trigger are for me.
