I thought Hickok45’s Glock cleaning video was pretty good. He uses Ballistol. As far as lubrication, here is a good diagram:

 

 

The thing I hate about this picture is it directs the use of 6 drops of lube. Then at the bottom says 2-4 drops overall. It drives me nuts [emoji1787][emoji1787]

Glock is one of the easiest guns to clean and lube. So, you do not need anything special. I don’t think paper towel was used in any of the above videos, but I always use “Blue Shop Towel” as well.

The bottom one is how I learned to clean a Glock. Hickok45 is good too, especially if you’re planning to use Ballistol. I clean regularly but not after every time I shot, and I use Hoppe’s cleaner and usually Lucas or Hoppe’s for lube

 

Five drops - - barrel, slide (3), and disconnect.

 

Hickok s using isoproply alcohol (% unknown) to clean too. What do you think about using this isopropyl alcohol to clean glocks?

 

I do not think rubbing alcohol can harm the polymer or the steel. I just do not know how effective rubbing alcohol is as a gun cleaner/degreaser….

I do not use rubbing alcohol to clean my guns. (I use good ole Hoppes No.9.) But once in a while, I use a microfibre cloth wet with “91% rubbing alcohol” to wipe the grip surface of my guns to keep them dry and not oily or slippery.
