From what I have heard both of the brands you listed make decent airsoft guns.

the question was which airsoft gun should he purchase for practice? the answer is none. no airsoft gun is good for practice for firing a real weapon. As to which airsoft guns are good at being airsoft guns, I don't know.

Several years ago a fellow from Japan won the steel challenge. Since it is/was illegal to shoot real guns in Japan, he practiced with an airsoft until about a week or two before the match were he was able to shoot his real gun. Check the threads over at Brian Enos, you will see plenty of guys practice with airsofts in the winter or when they can't get to the range.

 

Airsoft is good for FOF training.

However, I am not sure they are making the Glock airsoft replicas anymore. I have been told Glock sued some of the companies that make them and they can no longer produce them, not sure if that is true or not. I work in a paintball shop that also sells Airsoft and we have not gotten a Glock model in close to a year.

Furthermore, if you do find one stay away from anything select fire. Not only is it useless for training but the select fire parts are fragile and easily broken.

 

To answer your question the KSC/KWA (same company) makes the best Glock replica imo. The problem is as the above post stated, that this brand no longer makes the Glock. KJW is a good substitute if you can't find a KSC, but it doesn't have an accurate trigger reset like the KSC does. I'm in the academy right now and airsoft is great for practicing draw and getting on target fast, as well as building search/clearing exercises.
