My local Cabelas has/had one of those and I saw it up close. It's too blingy for me and I don't do special edition handguns.

Generally speaking, handguns that are made to be collectables, rarely turn out that way. It doesn't do much for me, quite honestly, and I don't see the build quality as anything more than a Steel I or Billennium.

Looks like maybe some of the guys that build some of their upper end shotguns got busy with a pistol.

I don't do special edition guns either. I wasn't sure if their custom smiths got together and made a superb gun. I thought it might be something along the lines of a Springfield TGO or Professional 1911.

I think I know what you are saying. Maybe 3000 for the gun itself and the other 9000 to make sure the guys who actually get one do not have to worry that someone like me gets one too and ruins the exclusivity for them.

The hand-stitched Italian leather check book included in the package makes it almost seem like a bargain.

If I drop eleven G's on a pistol, it sure as hell isn't going to have a slide-mounted safety.

On the topic of limited edition Berettas, there is one coming out that I'm actually considering. The Beretta Centennial:

It checks most of my boxes: SAO, all-steel, heavier Brigadier frame, polished blue, frame safety, wood grips. Plus, it's surprisingly pretty tasteful IMO. I kind of like the Bilennium for its techno Matrix aesthetic, but this one looks reasonably dignified, and it's only around $3000.

I've said it before, but a non-prettified version of that gun needs to go into regular production. Would snag a couple. Leave it to Beretta to fail to produce guns people actually want in any real quantity.

I considered that one, but will probably pass. They desperately need to make it a production gun like the FS.

Looks decent, though I don't like the "Centennial" markings or the grip medallions.

The Roman Numerals look tacky as well, in my opinion.

I recently started a new policy - I absolutely refuse to buy any Beretta 92 that costs less than $13,000. So, I had to pass on this one. Gotta have your standards :whistling::rofl:
Snob. Everyone knows that after $12k you're just paying for the name
