Looks to be in pretty good shape, I would say you did pretty good.

 

Beretta 1200FP is very good gun and your pice is very good price.
most sale price I use to see it for sale is $350 and up use.
I use to own one shoot like HK some part can be use same as HK part.

yes...ver similar to the Benelli...high quality and I think you stole it for that price...doesn't seem to be too well known (I was looking at these awhile back) but I would think the Beretta name should carry the day...anyway...being off the regular radar allows some to get them for killer prices like yours...enjoy you lucky dog...

I had been looking for a semi-auto shottie. I didn't care for the Saiga too much as the mag made handling a little clumsy for me.

Can't complain about an Italian semi-auto shotgun for $300. :supergrin:

 

Same pawn shop has a HK/Benelli M121 for $499. It's an old police semi-auto from the 70s or 80s. Granddaddy to the current Benellis. Not as good a deal. If they go down to $300 I'd get that too.

 

Found one today at a little pawnshop for $299. Put it on layaway. It's a Beretta made in Italy, so it can't be all bad?

I prefer a good semi-auto riot gun for HD. What I know about this gun: 6+1, 20 in. barrel. Recoil-inertia operated (not gas like the Remington 11-87). Difference between the 1200FP and the 1201FP is that the 1201FP takes 3 in. shells also. I don't mind only using 2-3/4 in. shells.

smoking deal!..Beretta 1200 or 1201 FP is a very fast shooting shotgun. Loves high brass ammo, buckshot, slugs, etc. Mine didn't like the cheapo birdshot, but anything with some velocity.

 

I wonder, since it is recoil operated is there a way to adjust the Beretta for light loads like an Auto 5, like switching the friction ring around.
