I've gotten interested in knives lately so have been buying some nice ones. Some of these have more wear now as a carry a couple of these daily. Man you can go down a deep hole here. As you can see I like Benchmade. Also Winkler Knives is up there. I actually just bought a Fiddleback Forge hiking buddy off blade forum so am excited to get that one. I carry the red Benchmade most days at work along with a fixed blade. Usually it’s been the Winkler huntsman. Its blade is pretty thick so I’m not worried about breaking as I may be a little rough in the construction industry. Let’s see what y’all got.

Nice collection. That Claymore is my daily carry. Need to add some bigger bowie, tactical, hunters to the collection.
Rabbit hole? What is this rabbit hole you speak of? ;)

You're off to a very good start!

I'll see your Benchmades and raise you some Spydercos... :)

Nice starter collection. I prompted my son (mid 40's) to finally take an interest in knives and start building a collection. I helped by gifting him some nice examples from some makers dating back to the 70's. Now, he's gotten quite interested and has been gifting me some nice quality folders that he's researched.

It's just my opinion, but every knife collection ought to include some exemplars from some long standing American companies like Case, Buck, Spyderco and Ka-Bar.

Then, there's the rabbit hole of Victorinox to plunge down into ... but they're also damned practical, useful and handy, so it's easy to justify adding them. ;)

ESEE is one of my favorite brands. I have a couple of the 4” model shown in your photo. Extremely sharp, holds an edge well and has a very practical synthetic sheath. I process 3 or 4 deer with one of those every year.

I don’t “collect”. I only buy knives that I can use. The only interesting knives are sharp knives.
We will see what they look like in a year. I cut with whatever I have on me. I will carry and use all of these at some point. I am a little rough on knives. Well actually it’s probably because I’m just lazy to go get the correct tool. I’m a commercial construction superintendent and I find myself always cutting, prying and digging through drywall and what not and will use whatever I have on me. That’s why I love the Benchmade 591bk so much. I’m actually thinking about taking one of my fixed blades and cutting the tip off for light prying. Maybe the Bradford or maybe get an Esee 3.

I actually thought about an Esee 3 to cut since if I break it they will replace. However I’m in wet conditions quite a bit so I would prefer stainless. That’s why I’m thinking my guardian that is AEB-L.

Sweet knives. Be careful, the Knife hobby is so vast and will be overwhelming at times. Definitely a deep rabbit hole to fall into. I started the same about 5 years ago and have amassed quite the collection of 60 + knives. I actually priced what I had spent and ouch looking like 10k spent in 4 yrs!.....loved every minute of it. I have since slowed down my purchases and infact just bought my first knife in 5 months. Check out Chris reeve, hinderer, microtech, spartan, and probably my favorite -spyderco! Have fun and happy Halloween!

I have 8 nieces. About the time they started going to college, I was buying and restoring Victorinox knives in bulk - TSA seizures. So, I gifted the basic Victorinox in pink! And when they started owning cars, a higher cost unit with more functions.
