I am seeing YouTube videos that the ATF pistol brace rule has been Enjoined by the courts. Maybe!!! What is the real answer? Does anyone know?

There is a national injunction in place from a federal court.

The previous injunction only applied to members of the organizations involved in the suit (G.O.A. etc.)

Most likely scenario moving forward -

I'm sure the ATF is going to appeal to a higher court. The back and forth regarding legality will continue until it reaches SCOTUS and they smack the ATF down again.

The way this SCOTUs has been who knows if They take it. They have their obscure legal reasoning for what cases are good to take or not good to take. They're about to tell us if an un convicted domestic abuser has gun rights which I guess is an important question but not as important as dealing with AWB bans, capacity limits, rosters, serial number stamping requirements and ATF overreach on stuff like the brace rule. Determining or validating an un convicted alleged domestic abuser's 2a rights is important on some level I guess but I'd rather keep smacking down blue states that pile on restrictions that have the effect of making it almost impossible for his potential victims to arm themselves.

If we have another bad election next year we could lose this majority in 10 years or less but something still seems to be making them hold back from aggressively building on Bruin and striking down the worst of the overreach while we have a chance. I think that something's initials are probably "J.R."

In the end it could go either way.

The ATF definitely overstepped it's authority, I'm sure they will appeal the injunction. I don't have enough faith in the SCOTUS to feel confident they will even agree to hear the case tho.

I’m not sure they will appeal.
Look at the bumpstock case. They lost and in 3 states bumpstocks are legal for purchase due to that loss. They haven’t appealed because they are likely to lose nationwide

I will agree about the SC. Barrett and Kavanaugh have been a big disappointment in 2a cases

Generally the Government rules by regulations. It used to prohibit set things, but allow the prior possession. However a set political party has been pushing a totalitarian dictatorship. Most laws grandfather in prior possession/ownership. Like was the case for the 94 assault weapons ban or 1970 clean air act. You could keep your firearms or big block V8’s.

Now the ATF who has no power to make laws, is making laws, that contradicts their prior public statements.

As of right now you can buy/own/posses/have a pistol brace. I never owned one, but am thinking of buying a few as in 2024 there will be desperation to push infringements on citizens. More so after Nov 2024.

The Chevron deference ruling could out a nail in the coffin of ATF shenanigans and a bunch of other things.
One can only hope so.

The bureaucrat sloths who managed to slither up the government ladder have no business legislating.

Well with the Supreme Court rulings on some things in the last few days and now the ATF changing directions and going after certain ammo, we are obviously not past this BS yet. As soon as they are shot down on one thing another seems to emerge to be dealt with.
