I found a local guy with a 45ACP upper and it was sloppy, poorly finished and rattled like a bag diamondbacks. Jam-o-matic. Not impressed.

I eventually bought a Sub2000, a Ruger PCC 9mm and an AR9. All were better guns and a better value.

The Ruger was the clear stand out. Best trigger, better construction and great iron sights and an excellent rail for a scope. Now they have a pistol version that I'd love to get my mitts on.

 

I had great performance, zero failures with a mech tech 10mm upper shortened to 12in using Underwood 155gr JHP (200 rds flawless).

 

I had one for a Glock 17 years ago. Accuracy was so so, reliability was good, length of pull / ergonomics could be better. Also made an annoying "twang" in the stock when fired.

 

Had one of the 1911 Roland versions, never had a reliability issue with either 45's or rolands and was quite accurate. I fixed the stock twang by removing it and welded a pipe stock on it with a lower cant similar to a Thompson, one of my buddies talked me out of it.

 

I had one and wasn't impressed and the sound and feel of that recoil spring in the stock was not pleasant. I sold it and moved on to a Ruger PCC and couldn't be happier.

 

Never fired one, but the one I handled seemed quite heavy for its size.

 

Had a G17/22 set up many years ago. Accuracy was very good to excellent with the right kind of ammo and a good optic. Had over 500 rds with no malfunctions of any kind. Mine had a fixed stock with a rubber buffer installed at factory. No noise, and fit and function was great.

 

Roni Chasis is EXCELLENT.

Get that instead.

I was actually skeptical of them at first, but when I was in Dallas a friend who owns a gun shop had me pick one up for him from someone who was selling there. The thing is great.

I shot a glock 18 in it. It's as nice shooting as an mp5.

They have a brace version that is ok. Slightly awkward but it works. The newer micro feels very ergonomic. Of you don't mind making an sbr I'd get the micro.
