Not defending them, but.....

As a computer guy......

Assuming an automated system, that is probably correct. If the order is processed through the computer correctly, you get a response. If the order does not process correctly, you don't get a response and odds are they don't even know an order was placed.

I have seen this with bigger and better places when the computers had an issue.

My guess is you are correct, right now with the panic buying, they do not need your business. A few months from now....
