The implication of your question is that you think there is a difference between the brass used for Gold Medal loads and regular Federal loads. I don't believe there is any difference. The thing that's different in Gold Medal loads is the bullets == which are usually Sierra Match Kings.

I went down and rummaged through my 308 bin. All The FGMM brass I have is head stamped FC 308 Win. I could have sworn I saw FGMM on some head stamps in the past, but found none in my baggies.

Personally I don't like FGMM brass. It is too soft for my taste. For my precision 308, I use Lapua. If I couldn't afford Lapua, I would buy Winchester.

Good luck.

I just looked at some new Federal GMM and the brass has the FC 308 headstamp.

I used to have some Federal .308 Match brass (nickel plated) and I 'think' it said Match on the head. I tossed it awhile back because I thought it had been loaded too many times. That, and I changed to Lapua brass.

I'll confirm, there is no difference.

I recently shot about 200rnds of Fed BlueBox 150gr, and 160rnds of FGMM.

Same brass cases. Measured out exactly the same tolerances before and after firing. Weights are right in there in the same frame.

As far as I can tell after checking 100+ cases ea for comparison, they use the same exact cases whether you are shooting $15 Fed Blue hi shock OR $45 FGMM.

All the same. Mine has been reloading great after trimming to 2.005 with a Lee trimmer, chucked in a drill press.
.31-.33" groups at 100 with 44.X grns of Varget and 2.8OAL with Fed Match primers and 168grn AMax.
.5-.75" 3 shot groups at 200.
1" - 5 shot groups at 200.
1.55" - 25shot group at 200.
1.5" - groups at 200 with Sierra 168Game King HPBT bullets (very accurate)
Important to me, though is my Coldbore and Warmbore shots are all same POI. Ask the deer from this season...

Shoot it a few times.

I absolutely HATE Federal Gold Medal Match brass. It's the only brass that I can't resize enough to use in my rifle. It's very soft. Even small base dies wouldn't size it down enough.

I do hope it works better for you.

Agree, I think their brass is crap in any caliber. Far too soft, gives to pressures sooner than other brands. I will use it for plinking brass, but down load it from my normal loads.
