I don't typically care for Olight, but the point of people hating Olight because they're not Brand X or made in China or whatever. Again, I'll never understand why some people vehemently get on others about what they choose to buy. Odds are your phone or your PC at home you're using to read this have some, or many Chinese sourced or made components. That argument is void. Apple vs Samsung? Who cares, really.
Good to hear their service is strong. Honestly, it's not that I necessarily disprefer them over any of that aformentioned stuff, but I simply also don't like integral batteries. My Streamlight Microstream just started getting weak recharge life after a few years of use and cycling. Thankfully, I just got the new battery for like $11 shipped. Back to good as new. I fear with something like a Valkyrie, which is a neat light, once the battery goes... Will the company replace
that?
Just looked on Amazon, and $99 for a PL-3 Valkyrie is pretty hard to argue with if you
are (or even not, too) on a budget and need a halfway decent weapon light. The TLR-1HL I love is like 50-60% more and the X300 averages like 200% more.
ETA: Just noticed I initially viewed the PL-3R, that is rechargeable and $99.99. The standard PL-3S 1000 lumen, which uses two CR123As (I did not know they even had a battery model LOL) can be had for $79.99. Not bad at all. As for China stuff, I do like my Vortex, and my new Sig Romeo 5, which for a pretty budget red dot but not $50 Amazon special, has blown me away for its feature set. YMMV and I don't care if you don't like what I blew my money on. Pay my mortgage for a month or two, then I'll gladly take your crap.
