Blue label G34 mos at my gun shop for $489. I'm tempted to get it but I don't shoot competition and I wouldn't carry it as edc, it would just be a range toy.

Who has one just for fun at the range and do you enjoy shooting it?
TOugh one for me. I picked up my 34 a few years ago. Blue label, MOS. What got me to drop the coin was I liked the no front serrations even thought it was a Gen5. There are some out there! I put a SCS and Dawson steel (black) sights. Friendly competition is all I do, nothing formal.

Great gun and shoots like it should. It is likely my least favorite Glock yet I have no motivation to sell and likely won't. For the cost it can be a good one for range time.

I was looking at the G34 until I read the GSSF rules closely. It is Stock indoor but "Competition" outdoor. Looks like I will have to settle for a 17 to shoot GSSF Stock everywhere. And I had sold a perfectly good 17 when I decided GSSF was not my game. Well, looks like it will be now.

Yeah, I am sad about the second class billing the 34 gets. For this year, I am shooting my 34.5 in MOS and my new 47 as my iron sight stock. Keeping my 17.4 as iron sights for self defense setup (aka stock trigger and the metal oem sights).

Glock 34's rank near the top of my favorite Glocks if not the top. I have a Gen 3 that lives in my Tahoe, a Gen 4 that lives under my desk at work and a Gen 5 that get thrown in with my other guns from time to time. I run 10-8 suppressor height sights on all of them, my Gen 3 & 4 have Faxon threaded barrels and I run TLR-9's on them. My Gen 5 has a 507c mounted and I run a Surefire X300u-b on it.

While I’m a devoted 1911 guy, I love my Gen 5 17 and 34. Both blue label. I bought the 34 used (2021 production) because it has the Holosun 507 already on it. Unfortunately here in Colorado I’m limited to 15rd mags. I modified the medium beavertail for both and they fit me perfectly-cut it about a 1/4” past the pin, smoothed it and used Talon grip wrap.

Both shoot like lasers and better than my first run 19M contract pistol. I’m probably going to move the 34 on because frankly I shoot the 17 just as accurately and faster. I love dots on my ARs but not so much on the pistol.

I'm guessing the sights on that 34 are not usable due to their lack of height and the height of the optic? I have a similar gen5 34, but with much taller sights so I can actually use them if I'm having trouble with the optic.

I've had my 34 since May of 2020. I have shot it but don't shoot it often only because I don't like it that much. When I shoot a local.competition its at most once a month and I shoot my carry gun which is a 26 or a 19 if I've been carrying it. My 34 has the cut out on the front of the grip and I don't like it. My 34 just doesn't do anything for me that my 19 and 26 don't

Yup, the original owner kept the stock night sights on it. After another session today it reiterated that I prefer iron sights. If I didn’t have a great gen 5 17 I’d keep it but I’ll be moving it down the road.
