And we wonder why they sue Sig...

Wow. The driver appeared to comply and had his hands raised when, on command, exited the vehicle, and nevertheless got shot when the PoPo attempted to disarm him. I think the driver will be receiving a big payday.

Wow, I watched 3 different body cams, I’ve seen enough. The female officer clearly was overmatched by a pistol in a holster. The shooting victim was 100% compliant. This is clearly on the female officer.
Idk how she couldn’t get a gun out of a holster, but she found a way. I hope the victim survived and has a competent civil lawyer to sue the 💩out of her & the department.
IMHO.

Someone didn't get the memo.....

From the description:

Jacksonville, Florida — On December 13th, 2024, Police Officer S. Lowry conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by 39-year-old Jason Arrington for running a red light. Officers A. Weippert and M. Cardwell responded to assist on the traffic stop. Arrington, who was cooperative during the traffic stop, informed Officer Lowry that he was armed with a firearm. Officer Lowry directed Arrington to exit his vehicle, and he cooperated. Officer Cardwell then attempted to remove the firearm from the waist of Arrington. While Officer Cardwell was attempting to remove the firearm, it discharged, striking Arrington in the leg.

The bullet struck Arrington in his upper thigh and came out his inner thigh on his right side. The other officers tell Cardwell to put the gun down, and then they immediately call for paramedics, help Arrington onto the grass and administer a tourniquet to stop the bleeding in his leg. Arrington said the gunshot wound left him with lasting physical impairments that affected his ability to work as a crane operator. The Internal Affairs investigation resulted in a sustained charge of incompetence against Officer Cardwell and JSO has begun termination proceedings for Officer Cardwell.
Glad the guy survived. Hope she enjoys the unemployment line!

Maybe, eventually, the clowns will learn. Keep your paws off a law abiding citizen's firearm; ...for their safety and yours.
Agreed. I was stopped for an alleged traffic infraction in a constitutional carry state where carriers are not required to volunteer to officers they are carrying unless asked. I was asked so I said I was. The officer simply stated "if you don't touch yours, I won't touch mine." I enthusiastically replied "agreed." After a brief discussion about my driving style he sent me on my way. We all went home that night unkilled.

Moral of the story, there was no need for anyone to touch a firearm during an encounter like this. That is the safest path forward of all.

Wonder if he got out of the red light ticket? 🤔
The most oft-repeated question from the local grapevine is “With 3 officers present to ‘maintain security, why didn’t they just ask him to carefully remove it himself,” if they felt a compelling need for him to do so while they verified his status and right to possess it?

If they "MUST" remove the gun, remove it IN the ****ing holster. What MORONS. It was a single clip IWB holster. VERY easy to remove with the gun still in it. Utter and profound incompetence. Sickening. I hope he cashes in BIG TIME. I'm sure he will. Slam dunk case.

I was wondering the same thing but don’t know the SOP. Can’t imagine that IA launches an investigation and finds her unfit for duty. The look of confusion in her face said it all

Having him remove it himself would’ve taken the liability off of the officers in case of a ND.
What a cluster ****…

I have been eagerly awaiting this video…
Let’s just say I was not surprised.

If they had told me what they wanted to do I would have declined.
