I'd consider it if they made it in 10mm... But there are a lot of more tested options out there. Including Aimpoint's own ACRO P2.

I think the Steiner MPS is probably the best enclosed emitter though. Better warranty, lower mount, wider window and lower price. Still very Gucci.

I guess they have to start with 9mm. I can't fault them for that. The mounting concept looks good, and maybe it'll lead to a wider acceptance if they don't keep it a closed system (proprietary)

I've never tried the Steiner. I'll have to research that sight.

If either Glock or Aimpoint is dumb enough to not allow the competition to use this mounting standard, it's probably doomed.

1. Not everyone wants a Glock, and definitely not every Glock shooter wants to be limited to which pistol he buys to get the system, and...

2. Not everyone wants to run the "mailbox" on top of his pistol.

I have a weird feeling that Glock and Aimpoint are going to make the bad decision to keep the system proprietary. Just my outsider guess.

Love mine for all the reasons bolded! + You can use gen 5 (.200" front) Ameriglo Bold/Agent sights and get a perfect cowitness.

This was a very underwhelming release. I’m curious how this is better than my direct mill acro p2 on my 17.5. As far as the 43x platform it just seems big, mine is direct milled for the eps carry and it just seems appropriately sized. Unless I’m missing something I prob won’t go down this path until I need a new pistol or optic.

My dream was to be able to direct mount an ACRO P2 to a G22, but I'm don't want to have to send a slide of and have someone mill it. It's philosophically repulsive to have to fix the lazy slop that we have for RDS mounting options.

This option looks pretty good, but since it's 9mm only, I won't be jumping in. Plus Aimpoint surely will have an absurd price for the sight.

Funny, of all my 16 Glocks, my 22 mos gen 5 is the only one not direct milled. I’m running the chpw steel plate for a 509t. So far no issues with the set up after 2k rounds.

That's good, bigjoe! I watched a MOS video on the youtube machine that gave an unbiased opinion of the plus and minus of the MOS plates, and I'm starting with direct mount. Plus I really liked the direct mount I put on my son's Shadow Systems. It made the SRO no so tall.

Based on Aimpoint past business model
High end Option -Budget LE/Civilian Option
Comp m4 - PRO
T2. - Duty
Acro p2. - COA

at the end of the day, the market really doesn’t need another optic footprint standard.
Thinking this over, I’ll buy one.

Literally everything else this far has been a retrofit. There might be something here.

I usually wait until shot show is over to make any big buying decisions for the year.
