My leisure carry kind of irritated me today. It’s thicker and wider than most 5” belts. I had trouble getting my DCC clips to clip on them tonight before going on a quick run.

I’m thinking of just running my KORE leather belt under my gym shorts and sweats for now on.

The Comfort Concealment belt is another type of option you might consider. Of course it has limitations, but it's geared toward light, beltless pants.

have you tried this? Most people say Hunter Constantine is better, but this is half the price and I’d only use this for a 43x.

Yes, I got one a couple years ago to play around with and still have it.

I wanted to try out the concept in general, as opposed to getting the most advanced belt in the genre. I could design/fabricate a belt that would work better (for me) than either one of them. But the question is, does the general idea work better for me than what I'm already doing? Or, does is offer me a worthwhile alternative to use sometimes?

For me, this idea is potentially viable, but it doesn't really offer much. A carry gun is a substantial piece of equipment. I want it to be available in a way that affords nearly optimal presentation, as opposed to just having a gun on my person. So for me, it generally makes more sense to just wear pants with belt loops.

These belts can offer some comfort advantages in pants with loops though, so that is also a consideration.

And looking at the situation from the opposite direction, when I'm wearing pants without belt loops, I'm generally doing something that I would not have a gun on for anyway.

I am an Arrowhead Tactical user.
Pros:
1) Very secure way to conceal and be very active.
2) Can be used as regular workout clothes if you decide not to carry
3) Are rather heavy duty as sweats or shorts considering. Do not go in thinking these are for working out in 80+ weather.
4) Lots of pockets and zippers for those of us that like that stuff in addition to just the gun.

Cons:
1) Kind of pricy.
2) The cost of retention and having a solid carry comes at the cost of being difficult to drop your pants relative to normal gym clothes. If I want to use the restroom these are the hardest to deal with compared to anything in my wardrobe.
3) Not made in the USA, in fact direct shipped from China. It takes a loooong time to get to your door considering they are only gym clothes.
3a) Once someone comes out with a made in the USA competitive product Arrowhead is going to be in trouble.
4) I tried carrying a 1911 officer frame. Don't. Any Gym type carry is going to need a smaller and lighter gun.

In retrospect, you can carry any gun with any clothes if you just clamp down that belt and holster combo tight enough to your body.

The more comfortable the HOLSTER is against your body the tighter you might be willing to clamp it down.

Bottom Line

YES I WILL BUY ARROWHEAD in the future. Their product line is still in the tactical color scheme, and I'd like some "less tactical" looking colors (meaning, bright colors).
