What do yall use to carry in clothes such as sweats or gym shorts?

I have been using a device called the leisure carry. I like the device. My only complaints are it’s kind of a pain to put on and my gun clips have started wearing holes in some of my clothes (I use discreet carry clips). It’s also gone up in price and is expensive for what it is (while also being cheaper than other options) I’ve done long trips in comfortable clothes with this set up though and I do like it. I also like that i can use any standard holster with it.

I’ve seen the Enigma device and some people using a scratchy gun belt inter clothes. I know others choose to pocket carry. I’ve been playing around with getting a 42, but I do like the idea of just carrying and training with one gun (43x).
Curious to see what y’all use.

If I’m wearing something like gym shorts, sweats or even dress pants I’ll carry either my LCP or LCP Max. Usually as a pocket carry. Small and light enough for such clothing.

But I usually wear real pants. I use the gym at work, so there’s more guns available there than anywhere else. Not worried about having a gun on me there
Yeah, I don’t carry at the gym or while I’m cycling. I like carrying but there are definitely situations I don’t. This is more along the lines of I’m tired from life and just want to be comfortable.
I know there’s a lot of guys that say “where grown man pants” and “a gun is supposed to be comfortable not comforting”… but I like to be comfortable lol

LCP or LCP Max
I know it’s me being a pain in the butt, but I don’t like that the lcp doesn’t have a firing pin block I know that’s a ridiculously popular gun that’s never had issues with safety… but I’m a freak when it comes to the safety features. Right now the only striker fired pocket guns that fit the bill would be a 42 (which I’m not sure would pocket well for me) or a bodyguard 2.0.

I generally don't carry a gun while working out. If I thought I needed a gun while working out, I would find a new place to work out, or carry it in a gym bag. If it was exercise that allowed for carrying a gun, like walking, I would carry it in one of my BravoBelt belly band holsters.

Bravobelt isn't as low profile as some belly bands, but it's very secure and the most comfortable one I have tried.

We all have our comfort level for safety and I can't fault you at all for wanting something else. I've not fired the BG 2.0 but it looks to be a viable option to the Max. I like that S&W has stepped up the pocket 380 like Ruger and would like to see other companies do the same so that customers have even more 380 options. If I didn't have the LCP and Max already I've look at the S&W 2.0. Especially over the G42. Not that the G42 is a bad pistol, simply because of the size for when pocket carry is the go-to option.

I don’t take my spare tire, jack, or fire extinguisher out of my vehicle when it is not convenient to have them in my trunk. I carry on my body unless I am swimming, sleeping, or indoors at home. I use various methods.

AIWB most of the time. P365XL, MR920L, Fuse, or P30 / HK45C. If I am wearing a sport coat type of garment or even just a shirt over a T untucked, same list as above, drop the P365, add 5” 1911, and move to OWB. Extreme conditions such as summer or some activity that dictates not having anything attached to my belt. P365 in right pocket. This is the most uncomfortable to m because it means moving what I normally carry in my right pocket to my left and leaving a couple of non-essential items at home.

In some special situations I have somethin they used to call “Thunderwear” that is basically an AIWB pouch worn completely under your pants. In the occasional EXTREME situation where I cannot risk the gun being exposed I have a spandex undershirt with a pocket under each arm where I will stick a lightweight J frame or a KAHR P380. It’s better than nothing, by a little.

In general, I would ask myself how important my own safety or the safety of my family is to me. Then decided what methods of carry work for you in what situations. The way things are today I would say that deciding not to carry outside of home for any reason is a mistake, but that is just my opinion.

Forego the pretty burnt bronze paint job, the titanium alloy guide rods, gas pedal, Punisher grips, engraved slide covers and all that other BS and spend that money on ammunition and / or training. Seek skill that will work with any pistol you happen to wind up with In any given situation.

If something is uncomfortable or wears your clothes, ask yourself if that expense or discomfort is worth trading your or your families life / safety for. Are you serious about this or is this as it is for so many, a fashion statement that gets you noticed among your peers? Is it really a serious preparation for your safety, or is it a hobby?

A concealed weapon is not designed to make you comfortable, it is designed to allow your skill level with it to give you a CHANCE to keep yourself and you family safe. Deal with the cost or discomfort.

Or what if I can carry more comfortably and enjoy my daily life better while also having my self defense weapon in reach.

I prescribed to the big gun big boy pants for a time. Carried a Full-size M&P and a G19X. Now I carry a 43x smaller lighter gun with a good grip. Fair bit of compromise but worth it for comfort.

I became a lot more picky about the internal safeties when I transitioned to AIWB. That’s one of the big reasons I moved from M&P to Glock. I liked the Glock partially cocked striker over the fully cocked M&P. Now I’d comfortably trust an M&P but I prefer Glocks for how easy it is to change parts and the grip texture is not too slick like M&P 1.0s and not so aggressive like the 2.0s. I guess that’s another topic completely.

I might be comfortable with an LCP in the pocket. With AIWB I choose to be really picky about just because the psychology of aiming a gun at my man bits is a delicate matter to say the least lol.

I used a lot of belly bands and different holsters over the years . My latest changes to my workout carry method is to wear sweat clothes from arrowhead. Their sweat pants and shorts are made to have a gun belt in internal loops in the pants so I use a regular IWB holster with them

My workout consists of using my treadmill and dumbbells in my garage. My EDC gun, a WCV Gen 5 Glock 19, sits in a holster on the treadmill while working out.

When I go to the driving range in the winter, I have beltless joggers that I wear. These have small pockets, so no pocket carry in them. My S&W Model 38 airweight goes along in a leather Galco fanny pack.

Ive thought about this before. It always just seems more cost effective to find a system that functions with clothes I already have. I work in fitness. I wear a lot of gym shorts and sweats. Just can’t carry at work.

Hopefully one of those times that you are tired from life and just want to be comfortable isn’t when an assailant decides to make you a victim.😳

Must be nice to be clairvoyant and know when you will need a gun. 🙂
I wonder how many people who fell victim to a violent crime woke up the morning of their attack and knew that they were going to be attacked that day?

There’s a balance to all of this friend. I don’t want to live life waiting for the next assailant when it’s likely I’ll never need my gun in self defense. I don’t live by the sword/ gun. I am more likely to die in a car crash or get cancer than die by an armed attacker. Some days I’m tired and stressed from life, I just need to throw on something comfy to go to the store.

I do like to be prepared. There are plenty of options out there that allow for comfortable carry in the same position for when I have a gun belt and jeans with the same exact firearm. If my G43X doesn’t get me out of a bad situation, or I decided to go somewhere I can’t carry, then maybe it’s my time.
