I have always been intrigued by the PX4 compact carry. I think it’s a good looking gun in a quirky kind of way. Langdon Tactical does some very good custom work on them. Range report if you buy one.

I’d been eyeballing these guns for years. My FFL guy got one of these in for a trial review. He let me check it out.

seemed ok. But wasn’t for me. I was disappointed. I really wanted to like it.
Curious about why? It is a bit heavier than the strikers, but that’s all I’ve found to critique (to date…only about 500 RDS so far). I’m always interested in honest opinions on guns, especially from those that have actually fired them.

I wasn’t a fan of the grip, slide height, and the trigger wasn’t nearly as good as my 92FS that I had. The sights could have been better.

I’m sure Langdon’s version is much better. But overall I guess maybe I had built it up in my head and was disappointed once I got my hands on it. My 19 fits me better and fits my needs better, and the price for what it was didn’t seem to match for me.

Not saying it’s a bad gun. Just not a gun for me.

I've had several of the PX4's, three .40's and two 9mm's, the last one a compact, but never the Langdon model. The last one got some new parts from Landon Tactical, low profile de-cocker levers, steel guide rod, the enhanced trigger bar, then some polishing which slicked the whole affair up quite a bit. All were full-size except the last which was the pictured compact. I much prefer the full-size guns. These are fantastic firearms that are accurate and soft shooting. I much prefer the .40 models as they shoot more like a 9mm courtesy of the rotating barrel. While I would love to have one of the Langdon guns, when I saw the price, I was happy to continue with the used guns I acquired at less than half the price. If you can afford one, I wouldn't have any hesitation about picking one up.

I've not shot the Compact Carry 2 but I'd love to. Years ago I was issued a PX4 ( G model, full size ) in 40 S&W as a duty weapon. At first I was a bit lukewarm towards it but after shooting it and really working with the DA trigger pull, I began to warm up to it. I shot that pistol and my P229's better than anything other than a 1911 and that is still the case today. The PX4's are great pistols.

I have my eyes open for a used one with the thoughts of sending it to LTT for some of their magic. I don't think you would regret buying it but I understand wanting to hold out. They will make more.

I'm curious to see how quickly this one will go. I mean it's only two months and with the holidays coming around that might help my cause lol

i love the PX4’s I have (2) full size model C, one is 9mm and one is 40. You’re right when you say the 40S&W shoots like a 9mm. That rotating barrel and the weight cancel recoil.
It took one range rental when they hit the lgs snd I purchased the 9mm and placed an order for. the 40 cal.
I would LOVE to have a Langdon Compact Carry.

If they’d only been seen in more video games over the years, with the build quality and features it has, the PX4 line would have been huge. For the latter reasons, they persist to this day. That, itself, is reason to check it out.
