Curious which would you prefer and is the price difference significant enough to sway your choice?

Personally, I think the Sig has a better trigger and better grips thanks to the G10s. But it is much heavier and a lot more expensive. It has me thinking.

Recall...and this is hard...

The new P09 is shiny and new...but it adds no new feature to the trigger or recoil or any other area. It's a limited cut for the safety guts and texture change.

The P series with SRT (Elite or Legion) has the fastest reset I've ever felt. I feel the P series is more comfortable than the gun everyone loves, the Shadow 2.

So think on it. If the Sig runs up against the Shadow 2...and the CZ polymer hammer gun hasn't changed, fundamentally...which is the better product, regardless of price? It's price that is stopping you, as it does all of us on the RDX P series. Pricey.

Have you ever heard someone compare the CZ P series against the CZ Shadow? They just aren't in the same class. Same function, not class.

It depends on "what for".

I want another Red Dot carry gun. I got a PSA upper, tossed it on a SCT lower and it has been my "trainer" for RDs for a bit now. I decided I am not going to cut anything I have, and just add a few RD factory cut 9mms. Since the P09/P07 series is my favorite and I already know them and am proficient with them, the P09C Nocturne was a no brainer for me.

Now I only need add a RD single stack Carry 9 at some point.

If you are wanting to scratch a DA/SA itch cheap, P09. No doubt. Wait and they'll rock bottom when everyone gets over it's still just a normal P07 with a cut.

If you want a premium experience, consider the Legion. Go cheaper and get the non cut Elite P229 that runs at $740 right now. That is the Legion frame and SRT installed.

Can't go wrong either way. But like MarkCo said, depends on what you want it for. If you aren't doing a red dot, the P229 Elite is the answer :)

At 6:11 shows you how the CZ (non Shadow line) trigger works. Some like it. Most would consider that too much of ever bad feature:

Sig P365, silly :)

Tough for me.
Have a 229 DA Legion with spring work. Have an "old" 07 and 09, with Cajun gunworks pro packages. Down side of the CZ's was the slick grip, solved by talon grips.
I did handle a new CZ nocturne in the shop. New grip is very nice. Slide cuts were nice as well.
I'm not going to dump my old guns with the trigger work.
I do carry my 07 more than the 229, mostly due to weight.

BUT, I may HAVE TO thin out. Picked up a Langdon PX4 compact. Trumps ALL of them.

The guns purpose would be home defense as my EDC is a G48 MOS. I prefer it as it is thinner and lighter (but I would love a hammer version). Full disclosure, I already have a Sig P229 Legion and like it very much but it is a big fairly heavy gun. My thought was to sell it and purchase the lighter P09c, so I'm weighing the pros and cons on both sides.

Had a PX4 compact carry and it is a hard pass for me, thanks.

The problem is that I just can't get my hands on a P09c yet and too many times I've purchased online only to regret it later.

Where are the P09 specs instead?

it does feel good in the hand.

However, watch that video. The stock CZ triggers are probably the worst triggers there are. Look at his hand shaking on the double action pull. Then is slips fast at the end.

He calls the reset not bad, it's almost 100% full forward. Look around. Not everyone is convinced the Canjun work keeps everything at 100% factory safe, certainly not in some combos.

If you're asking does the P07 feel nice, yes.

If you're asking which is the better package, it's the Sig.

Is have to shoot both if I was considering either. That would make my decision for me. All the other stuff is personal preference is a wash. So for me it would depend on which felt best in hand and that I shot better, all the rest(reliability/accuracy) is a wash for me its always if you have 2 reliable, accurate guns which shoots best for you/which you shoot best feels better in hand etc..

I had a CZ P07 and regret selling it more than any other POLYMER pistol I ever owned.
Like I said, POLYMER pistol.

Aside from that, these 2 are both good pistols and many might choose the Sig and would be happy but for me, I d get the CZ simply because I don’t care for classic Sig control placement as I’ve stated before and the lighter weight of the CZ since these are more carry guns than they are anything else.

Another apples to oranges kinda thread…

At 34 oz. you will feel the weight of the SIG on your hip sooner.

The weight of the SIG will help overcome the ridiculously high bore axis when under recoil.

The lighter CZ finesses the recoil by dropping the bore axis to somewhere near reasonable.
