The problem is that some people don't know what the issues are, nor do they have the knowledge to understand it. It's been a no-go for folks who know about the various issues with Revolvers for at least 10 years. But, 10 years from now, someone will ask again, and, like in this thread, ignore wise counsel.

As I mentioned earlier I was able to return the unopened jar of Lil'gun to the place I bought it at. They had some TCM on the shelf, but I passed. If I had bought the TCM I'd be on this form asking about it. Hodgdon list one load for .357 mag with TCM , and no loads for bullets under 140gr. Looks pretty slow and powerful . This is where the questions come into play, from the ones that haven't to the ones that have. Thank you all for sharing your experience. Yesterday I shot some .357mag with H110 17gr under a 158gr XTP HP good load for my gun S&W 686 4" barrel. On target and strong, just for fun I loaded some 125gr XTP HPbullets over 21gr of H110, now I know what the flames everybody was writing about look like..wow! I've always used 158gr bullets with H110 and never had flames coming out the end of the barrel before. I don't shoot at night.

From what I think I know?? the 357 max was stopped production because people were shooting 125 gr
bullets, too much flame cutting, erosion. It was made for pistol silhouette with 180gr bullets.

I have to ask this again, has anyone used #11FS, some data show it exact as 110/296,
the FS is flash suppressant. 300 body odor

Have used it in a 357 load and it was better than some very very old 296.

Have five 8lb kegs.

296/110 and 300MP wil cut forcing cones faster as well. It’s better to stay away from light pills/heavy charge weight with any of the slower powders. Jmho
I still have a couple #s of 300-MP. I don’t load anything lighter than 140gn with it either.

The little bit of load data for No.11FS suggest that you are correct the numbers are very similar to H110. @ 17 gr a load that's about 412 rounds per pound x 8=appox 3300 rounds per keg x 5=16,470 rounds . 40 pounds of powder will last ya a long time. Aren't there some rifle loads for No.11FS?

300MP is a great 357 rifle powder. Near 30-30 velocity with lighter pills.
It was a favorite powder for 300 Blk while I was still into it.

Could you please post some results from LG in the 300bo.
I would if I were still into it. But I don't shoot it anymore or even have an upper for it. Rebarreled it to 6.5 Grendel.
