There are a couple threads regarding the 40th Anniversary Field Knife; I thought it would be good to consolidate the information & add a few details.
The 40th Anniversary serialized Glock Field Knife FM78 was presented in a silver Glock pistol case. There were 780 produced and distributed worldwide, only 250 were shipped to the U.S. market. FM78s shipped to the U.S. were serialized toward the end of the 780 produced.
It was released in 2018 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the FM78. It has an olive drab handle and sheath and laser etched blade. A certificate of authenticity was also included with Gaston Glock’s signature.

From Wikipedia:
The Glock knife is a military field knife product line designed and produced by Glock Ges.m.b.H., located in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria. It can also be used as a bayonet by engaging a socket in the pommel into a bayonet adapter that can be fitted to the Steyr AUG rifle.
The knives were developed in close cooperation with the special forces Jagdkommando (German for Hunting Commando) of the Austrian Army and are suitable for throwing.
Both knives have clip point blades made of SAE 1095 spring steel with a hardness of 55 HRC and are phosphate-treated. Spring steel offers a high yield strength for good impact resistance and flexibility but low corrosion resistance.
Handle and sheath are made of Glock-polymer. The Survival Knife 81 is available in the colors olive drab, battlefield green, desert sand, flat dark earth, gray and black. Field Knife 78 was available in desert sand, olive drab and black. The upper crossguard is bent forward to allow it to be used as a bayonet on the Steyr AUG rifle. It can also be used as a bottle opener.
The polymer sheath features a retention clip that secures the knife against loss, a belt clip for attaching the knife to an up to 60-millimetre (2.4 in) wide belt and a drainage opening at the bottom.
First generation versions of the knives had a circular Glock logo on the sheath, blade, and handle. Later versions sport the current Glock logo in the same locations.
Glock currently manufactures two models of knives:
The Field Knife 78 (Feldmesser 78), which is a classic field knife, with a 165-millimetre (6.5 in) long and 5-millimetre (0.20 in) thick blade, 290-millimetre (11 in) overall length and weighs 206 g (7.3 oz).
The Survival Knife 81 (Feldmesser 81), which has the same overall dimensions as the Field Knife 78 with the addition of saw-teeth on the back of the blade and weighs 202 g (7.1 oz).

Circle logo on old Glock Knife
I've been dying to ask about this knife but didn't feel right potentially adding additional bidders into the battle out of respect for a forum member I know really wanted it. For those wondering, the knife auctioned on Gunbroker for $406.51 My question though, is about the logo - specifically...

Glock 40th Anniversary Knife
The Glock 40th Anniversary Knife I purchased arrived while I was out of town, pretty excited to finally find one of these. The color is off in the photo, it's actually green which I believe is the Glock OD Green.
