I recently submitted a Beretta rebate online, took a little than a month to receive funds. There is a tracker that can be used to follow up.
Beretta didn't even notify me that my "rebate request" had been denied "based on the serial number." After further inquiry, it's now "under revision." The original rebate offer said nothing about serial numbers...

Another company handles the rebates. Not Beretta, which is a common practice. In fact it’s the same company that handles Taurus’ rebates. Once you fill out the form there is a tracker number to follow just as @mmcbeat said.

Well, the problem is that Beretta's support sucks. Frankly, I don't care why, but in the case of the Carry, with no mags available, it is disabling its own product...

Just checked the slide again: there is no hole in it at the front sight in the inside, and the hole on the top is round, which is what I meant by it's having been molded.

I hope, this helps.
Don’t give up yet. Here’s mine, and yes, the front sight hole does indeed appear round and "molded in". However it is actually a 0.050” hex fitting:

For your rebate, you'll need to contact Rapid Rebates directly (1-800-619-4703). I had the same denial ("serial number not valid") with my A1 Compact, but after I talked to them and gave the the model number and serial number, the lady said "Oh yeah, that qualifies and should have been approved. I'll resubmit it now". Granted, I'll have to wait for the normal processing period, but at least it appears to be on the right track now. GIve it a shot, you already bought the gun, you might as well get the bonus money they advertised.

Look I had issues with Beretta over two of my 3 APX Carry A1’s. Took 5 months to get my Shield RMSc optic plate for my FDE model. I’m still waiting on the plate for my BLK one. And it’s been a year. Does it suck? Yes. But I have low expectations with any gun company any more. At some point any I’ve dealt with have let me down.

👍 Yep same as all three of mine.

Thank you kindly for the info about the "rebate." Please, notice that I haven't even been notified and had to find out about my case nearly three months later. I'll try them again tomorrow, because Beretta was supposed to get back to me about this yesterday the latest.

That looks like the way it's supposed to be with the more expensive versions. In my case, it's just a round hole, and the other side of the slide is not even perforated. Keep teasing me, and I'll post a picture. :)

At least, it turns out we are not enemies. :)

I will say the hex fitting sits down inside the hole a bit, so even when I looked at it, it appeared pretty round. I couldn't really see any defined hex shaped, but when I used the hex key, it fit perfectly without any slop or extra force needed, so I knew it was the correct size. (I had tested it before, years ago when I had a Nano, so I knew it was at least a possibility).

Oh yeah, for the rebate, I was not notified either, regarding my denial, I just happened to check up on the status on the website.

A true statement, unfortunately. I really hope they turn things around.

There will be hex key to fit here. :) The hole it just peacefully round. :) Just for the heck of it, what size should I try?

. . .
And no, the mags haven't been available for nearly two years. Take it or leave it.
Pretty sure the magazines are out of stock right now, and for at least the past couple months, because I’ve seen other folks on other forums complain about not being able to find any, but certainly not two years.

Two years, that would be since March 2022.

  • I bought the gun May 2022. At that time, it came with one 8 round and one 6 round.
  • I bought another 8 round in June 2022
  • Then another 6 round in May 2023
  • And a third 8 round in July 2023

So that’s three new magazines within the two year period. All directly from Beretta.com. They were expensive but I like the gun and take it to the range frequently, and carry it frequently, so for me it was worth the expense of extra mags.

Total of five magazines in two years, if we count the two that came with the gun, bought at a local gun store.

And don’t bother demanding that I prove it by posting receipts. Believe me or not, as you like.

You have never made this thread; I did.

I made the thread that I linked to.

And yes, it's already been proven in this thread that the mags were available 6 months ago, even though you're pretending that didn't happen.

The latest post on the thread is from 2017.
Funny, I started that thread February 13th, 2021, and posted the last post February 17th, 2021.

Even if you did, he'd just ignore it like he is ignoring post #44.
