Almost a year ago I started working on this backstrap project, originally I used my 3D scanner to recreate a Sandstorm Precision (SSP) backstrap as they stopped producing them. The backstraps I've made available to this point took a lot of work and based on your guys' feedback you seem to really enjoy them. That being said, I'm somewhat of a perfectionist and thought there still may be room for improvement. To do so I completely redesigned this backstrap from scratch, no scanning. This allowed me to get accuracy and tolerances down to the nearest fraction of a millimeter. Being the designer and manufacturer also gave me complete control which allowed me to iterate and test each design. It's taken a lot of work and a lot of my free time but I've come to a point where I'm confident in saying I've made the best possible backstrap/beavertail I can possibly produce. This backstrap fits the contours of the 43x/48 frame exactly which means unlike the SSP, there are no gaps between backstrap and frame. It's made of a top of the line Polyamide-Carbon Fiber material which provides unmatched resistance to heat, cold, impact, and tensile stresses due to its high bending modulus and deflection temperature. This allows the backstrap to hold up to abuse in the toughest environments.

I also did some durability testing, the results can be found HERE.

Improvements Made-
  • Omnidirectional aggressive yet comfortable stipple pattern
  • Extremely durable Polyamide-Carbon Fiber material
  • Improved dimensional accuracy down to the nearest fraction of a millimeter
  • Adjustment to the beavertail which improves backplate thumbing ability
  • Closely resembles the OEM Glock frame color and surface texture

Just read this on the dark side and the vid is impressive! Great work. I see these being a hit. Would love to try one when funds are not so tight. My 48 would be happy with this addition. Great job 👏
Thank you for the words of encouragement! I think the durability vid helps show how strong these things really are.

I dont have a use as mine stock is fine ive never had any gun I shoot have any kind of slide bite(i understand what it is and why it happens but just dont have that issue with any gun ive ever shot myself). That said you have 100% hit a market as I see people all the time complain about it so these will sell for sure IMO. We had guys at work that this happened to and guys here are getting it as a complaint ive seen posted.

Thank you very much! Another interesting feature is not only does it prevent slide bite but this also changes the grip angle from 22° to 18°, which matches a 1911 grip angle, which improves how you point and your trigger alignment . This is a very interesting article on the importance of trigger alignment and grip angle.

Yes! They change the grip angle from 22 degrees to 18 degrees. Makes a big difference on indexing and getting on target faster. Here's an interesting article that goes over the importance of grip angle- Bad Trigger Alignment = Bad Grip Angle
Thank you for your reply. Does this change the length of pull as far distance from grip to trigger? I am extremely interested in intrigued.

Yes! Both the small version and large version increases trigger pull distance, the large increases it slightly more than the small. I'll put a side by side of the two versions below for comparison.
