Would it fit a G45 With an optic And maybe a light?

I have three Vaultek safes, 2-up to 8 gun versions and one 1-2 gun version. About once a month I do everything I can to convince myself I need another version of their product 😂.

I’ve had a few Gunvault and they've been fine. I’ve switched over to Vaultek lately. I have 5 scattered around the house. (Teenage kids, so everything is locked up) I’m a big fan of Vaultek now. They can be plugged in which minimizes the worry that the battery will be dead. It has a battery that is used for backup in case of a power outage. I’ve never had one fail to open on the first try. Speaking of which, I have yet to see a fingerprint one that opens consistently enough for me.
Good luck with your search.

Which model do you have? The option to plug it in is appealing to me

I have a V-line mechanical lock. No batteries. Fits in nightstand drawer. Have a Glock 19 with 507c and TLR-1 with a 17 round magazine
Great option also, and just a mechanical simplex (think that is the correct term) lock, right? I gave mine to my little brother and he really likes it. I had one similar made by Aegis years ago but when I went to get another they’d gone out of business. Still have that in my closet somewhere.

yup. Got mine when my daughter learned to crawl. Keeps little hands out. One for each nightstand. Wife has a Ruger 357 in hers

I like the V-Line options if you have a place to mount them.

Simplex lock. No batteries.

In a prior home I had the in-wall model. Currently I have a Top Draw bolted into an armoire next to my bed.

Quick access for my carry gun options and the house gun.

I have a GunVault Microvault. I use it mostly for when I travel and need to leave my gun in my car, but you could easily use it for a nightstand, which I‘ve done on occasion. I don’t have kids in my house, so now I normally leave my gun on my nightstand in an unzipped gun rug.
I went through a few of the Gun Vaults when I started buying them, they just didn’t last much past two years. I have had great luck with Hornady. I keep them around the house, others are stashed on magnets.
My nightstand gun is on the nightstand, if I have to get up at night I don’t want to screw with a combination.

I’ve had mine for a decade, or longer, and it hasn’t given me a problem. Thanks for the info. There are some interesting suggestions on this thread I wasn’t familiar with, so I may try something new if the need arises.

One thing that was surprising about the Gun Vault was how delicate the inside parts are. When you hit the button a tiny motor had a wheel on it and would wind up a thin cable that looked like a fishing leader and open the latch. With mine the cable would break.
